South-Ethiopa 2 The souther we go the hotter it gets. In the afternoon it is 35-40� C, so it is not surprising that people have barely clothes on. For taking pictures of them you have to pay some money, 1 local bBir, the equivalent of US$ 0,10. The Mursi-people, deep in the south, live still very close to nature. The women are worldfamous because they have claydishes in their underlip. The man are all armed with Kalashnikovs, remainder of the civil was in the previous years. Though there is famine in Ethiopia these days, we have not seen anything of it. Most people seem to be well fed and satisfied. In the desert areas the famine is very serious and we haven�t been there. |
