| Charles Taylor to Run for Governor of California "Hey, he's not a dumbass porn star." |

| Charles Talyor, the former president of Liberia, has decided to continue his political career by running in the recall election in California. Though he does have a spotty history of president of Liberia, he's a high profile name that has actual political experience. This, experts say, may be his key to getting votes. After resigning his position as president of Liberia, Taylor got the required 65 names needed to run for governor. Now he is one of the over forty Republicans running in the bid to replace Governor Davis. "I'd like to start anew. I'm not an action-hero actor," stated Taylor in a recent news conference, "I'm a politician with real experience behind me." When informed of Taylor's bid, President Bush stated, "I though the Pacific Ocean had already taken California. But, anywho, it's good that a good, moral Republican with a history of policostuff behind him is running.. When told that Taylor was responsible for many of the troubles that now plague Liberia, Bush said that he "was the President" and "shouldn't have to explain" the things he says. Arnold Schwarzenegger, when told of Taylor's nomination, said, "we can't let too many politicians get into this race, or it'll ruin the fun of it (laughs)." Somebody needs to smack the "Governater" upside the head. Recent polls suggest that Taylor may have a good chance of winning the people over. He's a politician, but unlike Lieutenant Governor Bustamante, he's high profile. And unlike Larry Flynt or Schwarzenegger, he's a real politician. A recent poll shows that 73% of Californians would vote unconditionally for a candidate that was both a familiar face in the media and had some political experience. Considering this, if the recall goes through- or should I say WHEN it goes through, Taylor has more than a chance to win the election. And Taylor's platform? The usual conservative agenda, with a totalitarian twist to it. "Just because I'm in a different country doesn't mean I will run my office differently," said Taylor. But hey, after all the bullshit this state has put the rest of the country through, maybe they need a dictator to keep them in line. |
