1/35 Dragon T34/76 (mod. 1941)

On 5th December 1941, Georgi Zhukov launches a massive
counter-attack against the German
army on the Moscow front. Fresh well equipped Soviet reinforcement were threw
against the
German lines. The Soviets troops were well prepared for winter battle and by 7th
January 1942,
the German lines were driven back to as far as 250km. By April 1942, the battle
of Moscow end
with the German pushed out of reach of Moscow. 700,000 Soviet troops and 250,000
Germany
troops were lost or wounded in the battle of Moscow.
Among the participants of the battle of Moscow were T-34/76
tanks of 1st Guards Tank Brigade. It
consisted of 16 T-34/76 (among 49 tanks) fighting against the 2nd German tank
Group around Orel
and Mtsensk.The T-34 was developed from the BT series of tanks. It
is very reliable and
easy to
maintain in the field. T-34 was faster, had better gun and better armour
protection compared to most
tanks Germany fielded in the east in 1941. Armed with a 76mm gun,
T-34/76 can defeat most
of
Germans panzers during the battle of Moscow.
