| ADDRESSING CONTEXT: CAFE AND MURAL | ||
| In a device to encourage the public to engage with the building, a number of cafes and eateries have been placed on the ground level in hope that this will be the publics first stop on their journey through the building. This refelcts the Melbourne cafe culture and more specifically, Melbourne's lane-way cafe culture. The cafe which is to be situated along side this hertage building which is to have a historic mural of the original occupant of the site, the Carlton United Brewery. This design device relates to the graffiti which adorns the site and much of Melbourne. |
