| George Ohr used catchy slogans like "No Two Alike" and "World's Greatest Art Potter" to call attention to himself and his work.� What would your slogan be for your art studio? NOW IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO SHOW WHAT YOU'RE MADE OF! Activity #1: Using the clay provided by your teacher, make your own pinch pot to exhibit in the school art show! Activity #2: Using the computer (or the materials provided by your teacher) make a sign to exhibit with your pinch pot at the school art show (be sure to include the name of your shop and your slogan). HERE ARE SOME FUN THINGS YOU CAN DO ON YOUR OWN! Visit the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi.� Talk to any members of the Ohr family you might know...ask questions...hear great stories! View the video "The Mad Potter of Biloxi" produced by Mississippi ETV either at school or at the Ohr Museum. Make a pinch pot at Studio Ohr (at the Ohr Museum) with the clay and instruction provided by the museum staff. Attend "Mud Dauber's Camp" in the summer and learn more about George Ohr, pottery, drawing and other kinds of art |
