M: Patrick, you know you were asking for overtime well now you've got it.
P: What? I've got plans (looking at Lara)
M: Well you asked for it and now you've got it.
L: Looks like the lucky girl will have to wait!
P: How do you know it's a girl?
P: Well speaking from past experience call it a lucky guess. (She said with a smirk)
Lara walks out with her coat slung over her shoulder whistling leaving Patrick waiting for the "lucky girl" to answer her phone.
P: Come on! Come on!
(Other end of the phone) Patrick! Hi!
P: I can't make it tonight, I'm really sorry; I hope you didn�t have anything special planned.
Back in the reception someone familiar has just walked in carrying a little boy.
Jack: Hello, what can I do for you?
Person: It's my little boy he's not very well.
J: Well you've brought him to the right place!
Person: I know I used to work here myself.
J: Right then. Patrick! Over here, young lad, not very well!
The girl turns round with a worried smile.
P: Holly! What are you...? (He sees the young child in her arms) Who's this?
Holly :It�s Luke my baby please help him he's been ill for a few days now.
P: Get him into a cubicle. He's in good hands.
H: I know Patrick he's among family now.
P: Is he...?
P: Is he mine? Holly I need to know.
H: I didn�t know how to tell you before.
P: Is that why you left?
H: He�s 10 months old. I�d already left when I found out I was having him then I just couldn�t face coming back.
P: But Holly it�s two years ago now.
H: I know but just please make him better.
P: Let�s take some bloods see if we can find out what�s wrong. Dillon call paediatrics, check if there�s a bed free.
H: He�s had a temperature and he�s just not stopped crying until we came here. I just didn�t know what to do.
P: It could be a number of things: a virus and it could be�
H: Meningitis, I know.
P: Well he seems stable enough now can we have a chat?
H: Yeah sure.
P: Relatives room?
H: I�d rather stay here with Luke if that�s OK?
P: Of course. Duffy keep an eye on cubicle 7, I�m just having a chat with Holly.
D: OK. Take your time.
