Tell them I've been to the hills
and thus believe in mountains
But the mountain is cold
when the hill is springtime still
      To See the Greens Again

But to see the greens again
and doves rustling in the bush
A canopy of boughs at morning rain
and moss splashed boulder walls

Ah   but to see the greens
the emerald hues beneath breaking waves
and pines that spill from pregnant peaks

And as I dream lazily on this winter day
I think of the greens in your eyes
the way you see the world
and my one desire
... to see those greens again
