The Forest of Fate

As he passes between the fingers of the dawn
and the waning of the moon,
he wonders if his feet are as a leaf -
one that fell and long ago was forgotten
or the pounding of the rain upon the path
rolling to its destiny in some foreign sea

      He's half in the light
      He's half in the shadows
For sometimes it seems the same
when fate breeds as a forest
Sway sweet lilies
a rhythm in the fields
a choir for all seasons
SUN PRAYER

Golden Arms
surround me
and embrace my poverty
during this naked winter
In the morning of change
I walked a handsome beach
And I dug my heels into the sand
for the battle of the tides
