| Dear Journal, This is past weekend was quite busy. On Saturday we had freshmen move in and enrollment day. It was quite hectic with all the new students and their families. I had to work from 9:00 until 4:30. I was already tired from having spent the week getting ready for them hand having worked late for John on Monday and Tuesday and the then at University on Thursday and Friday. My old boss and her husband the director of computer services had a bar-b-que that I went to after work with the intention of only staying a little while. When I next looked up I realized it was 10:00. I ended up having a great time. Not that I didn't expect to but I started out already tired and had thought I would not want to stay but the conversation and company ended up being so good that I lost track of time. On the preceding Wednesday Charles new beau from Detroit had come over to watch Al Gores acceptance speech. He is a Log Cabin Republican and we had discussed the merits of both his candidate and his party so I thought that I was talked out for a while when it comes to politics. But I found my self surrounded by democrats at the party and found myself embroiled in a discussion of the chances for our candidate. Boy what fun. |
