He and I talked last week about taking a class in Esperanto that is being taught at UMKC's Communiversity. Most cities with a large university have a program like this. It has classes in just about anything you could want, the classses are not for college credit and are taught by members of the community at a minimum fee. We have discussed taking a language, something different and exotic. Something that not everyone is taking. Esperanto fits the bill and preportedly is fairly easy to learn. I do speak a little French and was told that Esperanto should be much easier to learn than it was.
One of the major summer events that take place in Kansas city that I always look forward to is Shakespeare In The Park. This year I will be going to see the two plays more than once. I now live across the street fromthe park in which it is held and think this will be a good way to get most of my friends to come see my new place without having totry to squeeze them inot the apartment for any exteded period of tiem. They can just meet up at my place, get organized from there, and then head over to the park. I already have one fairly large party organized for July 7th. For that one I am also planning to make dinner. I am still working on the menu. Something light and summery is what I have in mind. I found a simple recipe for a cupcake in an ice cream cone for dessert ath I think everone will like. We willnot be eating at my place, instead we will prepare it at my place and then go and stake out seats at the park. So along with all of the other things going on this weekend I hope to finalize the plans for this. This should be a good and busy weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.
