| I ended my week by going out with Charles to a local eatery and bar to meet the guys who are on the swim team with him. They all seemed quite nice. We only spent about an hour at the bar, which was fine with me, I needed to get home and get some things done. Plus the conversation wasn't of particular interest to me. I don't mean to sound like I didn't want to go there. I had heard Charles talk about these guys quite a bit and it was nice to be able to put a face with the name. I am not on the team and conversation centered around swimming and their coming trip to NYC, which will take place next weekend. They all seemed excited about that. To wrap up, it is now Monday, I am at work and ready for a new week. I will try to update this mid-week and not wait until the end. I can better remember what went on and get it on paper that way. Well it is only Monday and I already have a number of choices for the weekend. The Kansas city Aussie rules team is having it's anual tournament here in town both Saturday and Sunday. I spoke with my friend Eric about getting together and touring one of the old mansions in Independence, President Trumans home town and a suburb of Kansas City. We also discussed spending some time working out details on colaberating on a book about Kanas City's victorian heritage and working on plans for the house that he and his fience want to have built. I will finish my time with him this weekend by joining him, his fience Ann and his parents for dinner. I know his parents seperate from knowing him. As I said in an earlier entry, I have known his dad for a couple of years and didn't even know that they were related until I had know Eric for some time. His dad likes to joke about how he realized that the Geoff he know and the Geoff that Eric would come home and talk about were one and the same and how he was just waiting for us to realize the intertwining relationships. Wether I get it all or just part of my weekend plans in, it should be a busy and fun weekend. |
