John: "Okay."
Larry: "When we open the gates, you'll be in a courtyard. You'll have
to wait there momentarily."
John: Yeah. Okay.
Andrew: I wonder what they're gonna do there.
Geoff: Yeah.
Chris: While they train their arrows on us.
Larry: The other guard goes up to a small hole [in the wall, and whispers].
You hear this race of chains and the gate starts lifting up. It's
heavy, it's wood encased in steel bands.
John: Yeah.
Larry: Beyond that is a portcullis, and there's a third door behind that.
But they're all very close together, you can't go in between.
Geoff: Look up. Just my eyes.
Larry: You see --
Geoff: Murder holes.
Larry: No --
Geoff: No.?
Larry: -- it's not a hall, it's just a gate in front of you, you see a
statue of a man on a horse.
Andrew: Hmmm. Fancy that.
Larry: Beyond that you see three [?].
Chris: Haven't we seen this before?
Larry: Do you go inside? What do you do?
Geoff: Of course.
Chris: Yes, we ride in.
Andrew: Well, we're supposed to wait for this guy, aren't we?
Larry: The gates are closed immediately behind you.
Andrew: That's okay.
Larry: You look around, you see these 30 foot ramparts, towers in the
corners, you see people marching on the walls.
Andrew: Lots of people?
[?]: Yeah.
Chris: Festivities.
Larry: None of them seem to be paying too much attention.
Anthony: Well, of course not.
Chris: I guess if we were let in, they don't care.
Larry: You hear one or two laughing.
John: Uh-huh, ... go to that courtyard. Scan it so fast ...
Geoff: I walk slowly by the horse, and guy there, the statue.
Larry: Anthony, your barbarian heritage allows you to sense there is
magic being used upon us.
Anthony: Can I stop it? Can I understand it?
Andrew: Just clear all your thoughts.
Larry: It's nothing active. It's someone trying to --
John: Oh, I wonder if I could do that Larry?
Larry: Someone's trying to detect your alignment.
Anthony: On all --
John: On all of us?
Larry: Yes.
John: Can you protect your alignment?
Geoff: I don't care if he detects my alignment. Im the lawful good of
the group. I keep you in line.
John: Yeah, true [?].
Larry: Only one person's alignment here is disguised, right?
John: Yeah.
Larry: What is it disguised as?
John: Chaotic evil.
Anthony: Chaotic evil.
Chris: And the rest of us are neutral good?
Geoff: Well, that's pretty stupid.
John: Oh, no, it would be Lawful neutral.
Larry: Okay.
John: As to follow the rest of the party.
Chris: Yeah.
John: Neutral, except for him.
Tony: Except for who?
John: Him [Azuraz] which, he's like the guy --
Geoff: I'm the father figure, I keep you guys in line.
Anthony: Lawful good?
Geoff: Yeah.
Anthony: I'm neutral good.
Larry: The guards suddenly disappear.
John: Uh-huh.
Geoff: Off the walls too?
Larry: Yeah. You hear a voice say, "Put the head down on the ground. If
you have it."
John: Sure. Take the head out, with the mask on it. Drop it on the
ground.
Larry: The statue of the guy on the horse, a small door opens on the base.
Tony: Just playing games, for chrissake.
Anthony: Should have known that was going to happen.
Tony: They've got little tunnels in the ground.
Larry: A man comes out, in robes.
Chris: Human?
Larry: Yeah. He's short ... and he walks up to the head and he looks at
you, John.
John: Uh-huh.
Larry: He looks at you and he says, This is the head of Trigog?"
John: "Yes."
Larry: He smiles.
Geoff: He knows you --
John: Smile all you want --
Tony: Not necessarily. He'd be happy if it was the head.
Anthony: Detect illusion, Larry.
Larry: Nothing you see here is an illusion.
Anthony Okay.
John: The gates -- or the hallways -- there are 3 of them, right?
Larry: Yeah.
John: They're all ahead of us?
Larry: Yes.
Andrew: Can we see anything down them, lights, anything?
Larry: No.
John: "You don't believe what I say?"
Larry: He picks up the head, takes off the mask -- it's strapped on or
something? Takes it off ... Did you disguise it? You didn't
disguise it, eh?
John: No.
Larry: He looks at it --
Tony: I offered to.
Chris: No, no, better off.
Anthony: The face is covered in blood, eh.
Larry: He looks at you.
John: Yeah.
Tony: Well, it wouldn't look like you anyway.
Larry: He says, "Wait here and I'll have your claim checked."
John: "Thank you.
Anthony: Put an arrow in his back.
John: As soon as he goes to that door.
Larry: He does.
Anthony: Rush.
John: [Shoot an arrow and then rush] straight ahead.
Anthony: Want me to hit him with an arrow?
John: Uh-huh.
Anthony: Hit him with an arrow. Armor class?
Geoff: I run for the doors.
Anthony: Armor class?
John: We stick in the same doorway, eh.
Larry: 4.
John: Please ...
Larry: 4.
Geoff: Which door are we taking? One, two, or three?
John: Middle.
Anthony: Well, wait till [?] hits, eh.
Larry: I want to know which door each one of you is going to.
Tony: Let's go all the same one.
Geoff: That's what we're going to try to plan.
Tony: Stick together. Alright.
Larry: This guy running to the door -- he's not running to the door -- but
if he hears you taking off --
John: Yeah, -- no, no.
Chris: Well first he's going to fire off the arrow.
John: He just goes like this [ie Anthony shoots the arrow].
Chris: And then we take off.
John: Soon as I hear the arrow go like this, I'm gone. Right down the
middle.
Anthony: 15 points damage. Enough to put him on his knees.
Andrew: Oh, I doubt it.
Chris: I doubt it, too.
Geoff: Now we take off. Middle door, guys!
Chris: Yeah.
Geoff: Was he heading towards those 3 doors?
Larry: No.
Chris: He was going back into that [?] saying this is a crock of shit.
John: He was going back into that room to say "Fire!"
Chris: [?] guy sitting out on a horse somebody else should've handed him
the head and you should've stayed in disguise.
Larry: Tony, --
Tony: Yes.
Larry: -- Anthony, and Chris, roll versus poison.
John: It got us here.
Chris: Yeah, okay.
Andrew: Okay, we have time to do something.
Anthony: [?]
Tony: Yeah.
Larry: All of you guys take 25 points of damage. Ah, not all you guys,
just the ones who rolled.
Geoff: Uh, before we left --
Tony: What was it, gas?
Geoff: -- from your island, can I heal myself?
Chris: What's that?
Tony: What was it?
Larry: Yes.
Chris: I don't know --
Larry: No, the guards up on the walls --
Chris: Arrows.
Larry: -- soon as the arrow flew --
Tony: Okay.
Larry: -- they shot arrows at you ... tell me which of the 3 tunnels you
go into.
John: Middle one.
Geoff: Middle.
Anthony: Middle.
Chris: Middle.
Geoff: Preplanned.
Larry: Every one's going to the middle.
Anthony: Yeah.
Geoff: Yeah.
Tony: Yes -- shit, should we take, -- no --
Larry: Okay, as you advance down the tunnel, it's dark -- half of you
probably have infravision --
Chris: None of us do.
Larry: You'll make out what -- Marlenus does -- you'll make out what it
looks like.
Tony: So do I.
John: Uh-huh.
Geoff: We're all hanging on to you.
Larry: It appears to be completely clear.
Anthony: I stay at the back.
Larry: There are arrow holes on the sides.
John: Umm.
