Andrew: Wolverines.
Chris: Giant wolverines.
Larry: It wouldn't be difficult to climb at all. So we've got this picture of the courtyard.
Chris: And we see nothing, actually. We see a picture of the courtyard and a fucking statue of some geek on a horse. So I think all we can do is work our way to the fucking gate and take it from there.
Anthony: I say we go right into the room.
John: If it's like a normal palace, usually the king's chamber where he has guests or where he eats or has parties or anything like that, is usually on the first floor.
Geoff: Yeah.
John: Maybe the second.
Chris: Yeah, but his chamber, his antechamber itself, would be up there.
John: Yeah, or down there. All I'm saying is, that most likely we might as well, hey, why go there in the night cause you -- we're going to have to sneak our way in, all the way into the chamber to kill him. By then we probably woke up half the fucking palace. If we go there, like, suppertime or something --
Chris: When they're least expecting it.
John: -- or maybe when he's entertaining some guests, we're going to throw him totally off guard.
Anthony: So, find out their parade days, you know, their days --
John: Sure, sure, we can do that -- but how much time have we wasted? Traveling?
Anthony: It doesn't matter.
John: Just to get to this island? No, what matters, is that right now --
Anthony: Time doesn't matter.
John: -- no, time does matter, because eventually theyll start finding out that we're together. And then, after that, we're gonna be fucked. Because then they're going to start attacking us.
Andrew: If we go to the city, hang out for about a day, check out the scene, guards coming in, out of the castle ...
Larry: Marlenus doesn't want to do that. He thinks that's awfully dangerous.
Chris: No way.
Anthony: The thing is, you want to wait it out for the best time. You don't want to walk in there stupid, and then after, say Shit, we should've --
Geoff: Well, let's at least get there.
Chris: Yeah, let's get there first, then we'll see what happens.
Larry: The sage comes back.
Chris: Doesn't anybody have a calendar on this fucking country to see when their holy days are?
Larry: The sage says, we just received word that tonight -- this very night -- a celebration will be held inside the palace to commemorate the birth of the king's second son. And that the gathered nobility of almost a dozen countries will be in this room.
John: Of course, bad countries. We have to do it.
Anthony: Where's my invitation, fuck?
Larry: We didn't get invitations.
Geoff: Yes I did, Larry.
Tony: So did I.
John: See, what happens is, we're on his hit list. We've done a lot of things to him ... it's just totally fucked. He's going to come after us.
Anthony: That's the thing you want him to do.
John: He's not going to come after us. He's just going to send his fucking puppets.
Chris: It's time for us to go after him. Let's go, let's teleport right now.
John: If he sent aerial servants, what's he going to send next time?
Tony: Wait a minute. When we go, let's not let him know he's going to expect us together. Okay, let him think were together -- but not where we're going. Let's have some stand-ins gathering somewhere else. Alright? He's going to have spies looking around to see who's left. He's not going to stop at us two.
Anthony: Send them in the city then.
Tony: Let's let him think he got us two, and let's have 5 guys replace all of you guys. 5 --
Anthony: Whatever, guys that are our size.
Tony: Gathered maybe on Larry's island, cause obviously that's not even safe, or somewhere, but somewhere away from him. He's always keeping an eye on us? Then we --
Chris: Alright. It's a good idea. Send them to Ratik. That was the last take-over, Ratik.
John: Yeah.
Chris: Okay, we'll send the 5 stand-ins over to Ratik, they're having a meeting there.
Tony: He's going to try to hit them, too.
Chris: That's where they're going to.
Larry: Okay, Marlenus can find 5 -- volunteers --
Anthony: You know what the thing is, though. Right now if we [?]
Geoff: Marlenus, do you have messenger? Magic messenger or whatever it's called? I want to get word to Monmurg to fake a civil war because of the death of Azuraz.
Tony: I've got a scroll.
Larry: You can't fake a civil war.
John: You can't fake -- just let them know you're dead.
Anthony: You want me to tell you something? You want me to tell you something? Before you guys come up with your conclusion: if he can send an aerial servant into here, okay, he can hear what we're saying right now. Put it that way.
Geoff: It's dead.
John: No.
Anthony: No, but let's say he has something else planned out.
John: I'm sure Larry took the precautions that we won't be --
Anthony: So if he's listening in on us then --
Chris: Let's go in the closet and make our final decision, then!
Anthony: -- well, the thing is, we should have everything written down and then just pass it around for our final conclusion.
Chris: While you're reading it, he could be [looking over your shoulder].
Anthony: No, it would be one precaution, though.
Chris: Let's not get paranoid.
John: No, the DM is not going to do that.
Chris: Leave the DM out of it.
Larry: The sage says also that we're in Freeport, the king is in Rauxes --
John: [?], get a crystal ball and see.
Larry: -- they're 2 or 3 hours ahead of us.
John: You know what I mean, Anthony?
Anthony: Well the thing is, it was just a precaution.
John: Oh, yeah, but I trust Marlenus would have taken the precautions so that no scrying would be possible.
Anthony: Did you ask him? Ask him.
John: Why ask him? Fuck, any one of us would have taken that precaution.
Anthony: Do we have that precaution in that room?
Larry: Yes.
Anthony: Okay.
John: But any of us would have had that precaution made if we were all together in another part of the world.
Anthony: I don't know about magic so I don't know these things.
Geoff: Well, let's get going instead of just sitting here and talking for an hour about it.
Tony: Do we agree with that? We have 5 stand-ins?
Andrew: Yeah.
John: Two fake funerals.
Tony: Right. Wait, discreet. Let them think that we're pretending to cover it up a little bit. Just a little bit.
Chris: Yeah.
Larry: Yeah, we'll send word to your son, that he's to announce to the kingdom --
John: -- tomorrow --
Larry: that the king is ill.
Tony: Yeah, ill, that's it. Ill is the perfect word, perfect.
Larry: And for a few days, the son will handle the affairs.
Tony: Yeah, until this minor thing passes.
Geoff: My son can't. My son is in the Bone March. It'll have to be the regent.
John: Yeah.
Larry: Okay.
Chris: So, have we stopped talking about precautions? Time to take action here.
John: Like I said, my only idea would be, we teleport there with our horses, in the city.
Chris: Yes.
John: And then just go up to the gate and say --
Chris: It'd be perfect.
John: Ill just show Trigog's head. Bang. You wanted this guy, he's worth a million gold pieces. Let me in, I want to see the king, I want my reward.
Andrew: Sounds good.
Larry: Okay.
John: Why expect a guy to, bring his own head to Rauxes to the king? No, not in your wildest dreams.
Tony: Christ, John, are they going to check you? You're going to have magical items on you. I mean, as an assassin you're going to have magical items, correct? Magic sword? I got this wacky idea about how we can get in there with John.
John: You're gonna follow me. My entourage.
Tony: Oh, well, if you want to go beyond that, because they're gonna be detecting magic on us too.
Chris: Doesn't matter.
John: Doesn't matter if they detect magic. They know that we're going to use magic to take down a major character.
Tony: If you want, we could've massmorphed, as something that we could go with John.
Geoff: Im against massmorphing.
Tony: Oh, okay.
Geoff: It's dangerous.
Tony: Alright, okay.
Chris: So let's get teleported man, they got 3 hours on us as it is.
Larry: Okay. Exactly where do you want to teleport to?
Chris: To the city.
John: The spy will tell us of a location, probably a quiet place in the city that -- I don't care, the port end, for all I care. An alleyway, behind a dingy bar --
Geoff: Whatever.
John: Not too far away from the palace.
Anthony: What about his safehouse?
Andrew: Are there guards on the main entrance to the city?
Larry: Oh, yeah, yeah.
Andrew: We should go in by there, then. Drop off about a quarter mile in a little wooded area before the castle, or before the city or something.
Chris: Why? Then they're going to know we're coming in.
Andrew: Yeah, but we have the heads. If we teleport all of a sudden in the city and we go to the main gates, if they get contact with the other gate [they'll say], "We didn't see anybody come in.
Chris: True.
