Geoff: Larry, can you cast a spell while you're being telekinesed?
Larry: As long as it's not too rapid.
Geoff: Yeah, that's right, you did before.
John: He's starting to be pulled in.
Tony: I dispelled it. Forget it.
Geoff: You land [and hit the ground].
Tony: Fire at that bitch.
Geoff: When the insects are gone, the witch is gone. The dretch are still around.
Chris: The witch is gone?
Geoff: Yeah. John, 23. Initiative.
Chris: 6.
Geoff: 1.
Anthony: Now we have to fight those dretches. Do we still have that haste spell on us?
John: I can't roll any more [for initiative].
Chris: Why not?
John: Cause I rolled 3 6's in a row.
Tony: Yeah. Keep it there and go down in glory.
Geoff: [?]
Tony: We're still hasted.
Chris: Are we? This is suicide. This is ridiculous.
Tony: Arrows everywhere.
Chris: I stopped using my arrows so I can run up to those little bastards and kill them.
Larry: Geoff, get this damage, there's 12 of them: 25 23, 23, 26, 21, 26, 26, 25, 22, 22, 26, 21.
Geoff: Okay. One dies.
Larry: Ha! Well, fuck that.
John: 48, 48, 72.
Geoff: 3 dead. [?] is still alive.
Chris: Okay, 31, 22 --
Geoff: On another one?
Chris: Yeah. 19, 26, 28, 28, 29, 24.
Geoff: There are 2 left.
Tony: 2 left? 102 on both of them.
Geoff: Dead. The bodies are starting to rot, they really smell.
John: We move.
Geoff: The lava stuff, it's still there. It's not advancing any more.
John: Check for invisibility -- do I still detect evil when I stare at that fire?
Geoff: Yes.
John: She could still be there. Invisible.
Chris: Okay, Geoff, I take my rope of entanglement, go up to the edge of the lava, and I command it to outstretch and grab any thing above the fire.
Geoff: It doesn't grab anything.
Chris: Nothing there.
Larry: Okay, we move on. Let's make tracks --
John: The whole area --
Larry: -- we're wasting time here, let's hustle.
Chris: I could stand there, I could keep the rope directly stiff out.
Geoff: You can see it's fading from red to black, it's cooling.
Larry: Let's get out of here! Let's get out of here!
Chris: Coil the rope.
Geoff: You continue riding ... you get to the mountain ... as you're approaching this mountain, from about 2000 feet away, there's a gully going up to an opening in the mountain, that's your destination.
Larry: Go.
Geoff: But: another 1500 feet and you're ambushed. Initiative. 5.
Larry: 4.
Geoff: These are just your normal bandits.
Chris: Let's kick their asses.
Larry: [howls]
Geoff: 28 on [?]
John: Are we still hasted?
Larry: [I draw my sword and say] "let's kill them all!" Finally, something that doesn't have horns!
Geoff: How long does haste last?
Larry: 18 rounds.
Geoff: And you've traveled 1500 feet ... no, its gone.
Chris: Okay, let's just attack these bags of crap.
Anthony: Let's just ride through them.
Tony: Geoff, I'm casting haste on my own.
Chris: Yeah, let's ride through.
Larry: Hit them as we ride through.
Anthony: Yeah, we just fight them as we ride.
Geoff: Okay. Tony, 13, Larry, 11, John, 15, Anthony 17, Chris, 10, and Azuraz takes 13. Andrew, 16 ... you just keep riding through?
Larry: Yeah.
Geoff: Okay, if you look back, they're standing there [with puzzled expressions] ... you get to the opening. It's big, about 75 feet.
Larry: Geoff, I heal my self. Fuck, I've come to the verge of dying every day, how long is this gonna go on?
John: Yeah, I down some potions of extra healing.
Larry: Send Andrew's wolverines ahead. They can take a peek.
Geoff: You just send them in and wait outside?
Larry: Yeah, and we keep an eye on those fucking bandits.
Geoff: The dogs come back after 15 minutes, they say there's an overhang over a chasm, there's an overhang here [demonstrates], and about a 10 or 15 foot gap here.
Anthony: Can these things jump that gap? The things we're on?
Geoff: Yes.
John: I don't trust these fucking things.
Anthony: They can jump it, he said.
Geoff: The wolverines, yeah.
Anthony: No, the animals we're riding.
[Anthony's question gets lost in the shuffle.]
Geoff: Okay, you ride these beasts in, up to the chasm, and they refuse to jump.
John: The wolverines?
Geoff: The wolverines will jump. I'm talking about these riding beasts, they won't jump.
Anthony: So, these things won't go ... can we go around this gap?
Geoff: No.
Anthony: A rope of entanglement, if Chris stretches it across, can we go like this [demonstrates] over it?
Geoff: Yes.
Anthony: So we do that.
Geoff: How long is the rope?
Chris: [?] 20 feet.
Geoff: It'll reach. Give me the order that you're going across.
Larry: Chris goes first.
Anthony: I'll go first.
John: Second.
Chris: I'm going first.
Tony: How wide is the chasm?
Geoff: 15 feet.
Tony: We could jump it, Lar, We jump it. At least, I do, anyway.
Larry: You might hit a wall of force.
Geoff: You're grabbed in mid-air. Anthony, I heard you say you were crawling across first --
Anthony: Yeah.
Geoff: Chris said it after you, so I'll presume he's second. You'll go last. Well, Andrew, me, then you. [?] and Chris are also grabbed.
Chris: What grabs me?
Geoff: From up top, something sticky and slimy --
Larry: It's a cavefisher! Fuck, I hate these things, I cut its tongue, levitate ... first time a cavefisher's ever attacked me. They have 200 foot tongues.
Tony: Did I make it across?
Geoff: Yes.
Chris: Am I [?] these things?
John: You and me are snatched.
[?]: Oh, fuck.
Chris: Grab the motherfucker.
John: Cut the tongue off.
Larry: I cut the tongue.
Chris: +5 bastard sword.
Anthony: Armor class.
Larry: Levitate.
Chris: No, I'll go down, grab my rope of entanglement.
Geoff: Armor class -3.
John: Great, Geoff, 18 and 19 were my first rolls.
Geoff: Wait, wait.
John: Activates the Vorpal.
Geoff: Those who are caught in this thing, 6 points of damage.
John: Mmm.
Tony: How big is it?
John: Big.
Tony: Large class -- ?
Geoff: The tongue, or the fisher itself?
Tony: The whole thing.
Geoff: You can't see the cavefisher.
Larry: They hide up on ledges.
Geoff: Way up.
Anthony: 94 points [?]
Larry: Is the tongue considered large?
Geoff: No.
Tony: The thing is, Lar, when --
Larry: Whore.
Tony: Are they still suspended over the chasm?
Larry: I'd rather be falling than be sucked up into its mouth.
Geoff: Lar, it's drawing you up. [?] and this thing is drawing you up. Same as the other 2 guys.
Larry: Cut it.
Anthony: 84 points damage on the tongue.
Tony: Got feather fall?
Geoff: Did I say you were being held?
Chris: Yeah.
Anthony: I was on the rope at the same time --
Geoff: Which one are you cutting?
Anthony: He's the closest one to me --
Geoff: They're being pulled up, they're not hanging onto the rope any more.
Anthony: I got the axe, and I go [demonstrates].
Geoff: He's gonna fall.
Chris: Ill leap for the rope.
Geoff: Roll your dexterity to catch it.
John: Yeah, me too, that's what Im doing.
Geoff: What's the damage that you do?
Anthony: 84.
Geoff: It's cut.
Anthony: He can grab onto my axe, eh?
Chris: I can't -- actually, Geoff -- I grab the rope.
Geoff: Okay.
John: 107, on the tongue, 2 vorpal.
Geoff: It's cut. Roll dexterity --
Chris: I couldn't miss, I got 20 dexterity.
Larry: 70 points.
John: I drop the sword.
Tony: Geoff, wait a sec --
John: It's only fair.
Tony: I could have put a wall --
Larry: [?] feather fall, what are you doing?
John: I cut myself [free], but I have to catch the rope, right?
Tony: Put a wall of force under.
Geoff: It's gotta rest on something.
