We're finally here - A Brit and American having moved to Argentiere in the Haute Savoie region in France, a short distance from the town of Chamonix Mont-Blanc on July 1 2001.. after months and months of planning and re-planning.
We're situated at 1286 meters altitude, on the side of the valley under the Arentiere Glacier. Click here for a page of shots of our rented Mazot....
On our pages are some photos of our new place and some of the things we are doing here...climbing, biking, hiking (click on any underlined words in this section for a new page w/ photos), trying to meet new friends and keep in touch with old ones...
So far all photos have been taken with the cute little green plastic digital camera given to me (Gen) as a going away present when I left Chicago. . . so though they may be slightly blurry, at least I can get shots up on the pages quickly this way! (Thanks Diane!!)
We have had our first visitors - Robin and Alison, and their sons Oliver and Jonathan visited us the last weekend of July, and took some great photos with their digital camera. Click here for shots of Mt. Blanc, and some of the activities we did while they were here. |
