| July 27-30 2001 Robin and Alison and their boys drove from Frome UK (near Bath) and stopped in to see us for a weekend on their way to their holiday in Provence. |

| We did the typical (and expensive) tourist jaunt upto the top of the Aiguille du Midi(3842m or 12,000'), before descending to the mid-station at Plan de L'Aiguille (2310 m) and hiking for a couple of hours north to the Mer de Glace. Here is a climber topping out on a pinnacle on the east side of the Aiguille du Midi . Pretend this is Rob or Gen.... :-) |
