Reverend Joseph and Ruth Coniglio
Reverend Coniglio has been in the ministry for 35 years.  He was called shortly after salvation when God laid a burden on his heart--particularly with a message for young people.  Coming from a Catholic background, those feelings were foreign to him.  He shared these feelings with a pastor friend who said: "I believe that the Lord is calling you into the ministry."  His friend encouraged him to begin ministerial studies toward that end.

Finding Christ at an Ohio camp meeting in 1965 and following the call on his life, Joseph Coniglio began pastoring in 1968.  In 1971, he had completed his theological studies and was ordained by Dr. V.H. Lewis.  Rev. Coniglio pastored three churches in Ohio before coming to Sharon in June of 1981.  God has blessed him at Sharon and the church has seen much progress.

As the church moved into the twenty-first century, Gentle Shepherd saw the Holy Spirit's moving among the people as they took up the challenge for a new milennium.  Rev. Coniglio's vision for Gentle Shepherd in the near future is to be led by God into a building program that will enlarge the capacity of the church for growth.  He also sees the church being led by a group of young adults that are dedicated to see the work of the Lord increase in Hermitage.

Rev. Joseph Coniglio and his wife are grateful to the Lord for allowing them the time and pleasure of leading the people called "Gentle Shepherd Nazarenes!"
