Alright, here we go.

OH YEAH, I MOVED THE PRE FICCY TO THE END... JUST SO YOU KNOW....

It had been a month.

A month scince the nine humans had arrive in the strange world again, a month scince the fight with Queen Basimon.

It had also been a week scince Katina had spoken to any of the others, aside from Wizardmon, (Yes, I know he was Havamon when we left off, but it has been a month, he turned back into Wizardmon.), Making the others wonder and worry, especially Izzy.

When he asked Wizardmon what was going on, Wizardmon shrugged, and said, " I'm not sure."

They stopped for the night, setting up camp not far from a lake.

Sitting around the fire, they began to tell stories aout the real world.

" I could tell a scary story that would make Tai wet his pants." bragged T.K., " It worked on Mph!" Matt put his hand over his little brothers mouth, " T.K... you promised..." he hissed.

Kari giggled, knowing who he ment.

" Aww.... come on, I can tell a story that would scare him even more..." said Sora.

Tai raised an eyebrow, " Come on, Sora, you couldn't tell a scary story to save your life."

" Ohhh, I know, lets tell stories, ou know,and roast marshmellows, " said Mimi dreamily, " Oh, and maybe sing a little bit..."

" Stories are good." said Matt, letting go of T.K.

" I know a few." volounteered Jyou.

Everyone except Katina turned to stare.

" What?! I used to have fun with the younger kids at the apartments, by telling them scary stories." he said defensivly.

" I know some as well." said Izzy, turning off his laptop, and turning to the group.

Katina listened as they all did their stories. True enough, most were scary, but some were just plain odd.

After everyone had finished, they began to argue over whos story was the best.

Katina poked at the fire with the stick that Izzy had found for her to use for a walking stick.

" I know one." she said softly.

Everyone stopped arguing, and stared. It was the first time she had spoken in the week.

" Do tell." said Mimi, scooting clooser to Matt, who did not seem to mind.

Everyone gathered closer to the fire, and waited as Katina gathered herself, and began to tell the story she herself knew, from many times of telling.

" Carolyne was a very supertitious woman. From the first thing every morning, till the last every night, she watched for omens of good and bad.

One night, she was awakened from her peacefull sleep by the sounding of the rooster crowing in the pen...

Knowing that this was the omen that deaths eye was on the house, she got out of bed, and began to check on each of her family.

First her sons.

Then her daughters.

Then her husband.

Thinking about how happy she was with her family, she found her self thinking she had it all.

A loving husband, and four happy, healthy, wonderful children, a great job, and a long life ahead of her to enjoy it all in, she pulled back the covers where she had been laying.

She allowed herself a single blood curdling scream as she saw her own pale corpse lying in the same spot. She had been choked to death in her sleep by the sheets on the bed."

With the last of the story finished, she stopped, and awaited a response to her story.

Izzy stared at her. He wasn't sure wether he was scared, or surprised.

Mimi was litterally sitting in Matts lap, practicly sqeezing the life out of him.

Tai was practily sitting in Soras'.

" I have to go do something..." said Jyou, getting up and heading for the bushes.

Everyone began to crack up.

Katina stared into the fire.

It seemed almost hypnotic tonight.

T.K. stared at Katina, " Wow... that was even better than the one Matt told... where'd you hear it?"

Katina shook her head no, " I didn't hear it, I wrote it." she said.

The stares that were coming at her were now even odder.

Soon, though the stories died off, and everyone went to sleep.

THE NEXT MORNING.....

Katina awoke.

Wizardmon had layed his cloak over her, to keep her warm during the night. He himself, was still asleep.

As a matter of fact, it seemed that she was the only one awake, or at least it did.

Unitll she looked over to see that Izzys slepping bag was empty.

She wondered where he was, as she got up, and looked around.

There was a sudden movement to the left of her, and she caught a glimpse of Izzys orange shirt, heading for the lake.

Silently, she followed.

He stopped at the waters edge, and took off his shirt, and gloves.

He then dove into the water.

Katina watched as he came up for air, about the middle of the lake.

His head bobbed above water for a few moments, and then went back under.

She silently headed out onto the beach, and slipped off her shoes, and sat down, letting her feet set in the shallow water.

The next time Izzy came up for air, he saw her sitting there, and swam, untill he was but a few feet from where she was.

" Good morning." she said, watching as Izzy came out of the water for a few moments.

" Ohayo." he said, " You followed me out here?"

She nodded.

" You're talking this morning?"

" Yes. Hai."

He motioned to the water, " Just taking a morning swim... wanna join me?" he asked.

Katina unbottoned the bottom buttons on her nightshirt, and tied the loose ends into a knot, so that they would not be in her way.

" Okay." she said.

Izzy ran a little ways in, again, and dove in.

Katina followed.

The water was so clear, they could see to the bottom.

Katina wondered how deep it was.

It couldn't have been deeper than seven or eight feet.

Going up for a breath, she found herself dunked, almost immedietly.

She flailed for a moment, and then, swam down, under her attacker, and behind him.

Coming up, she saw Izzy trying to figure out where she went to.

He turned in the water, just in time to be splashed in the face.

" HEY!" he sputtered.

Katina only laughed.

" You deserved that." she said.

He laughed.

Going under, Katina looked at the floor of the lake.

It was, or seemed to be a single stone slab.

It was green and mossy, and there were small clam-like digimon making their way across the bottom.

Coming up for air, she smiled.

Red eyes watched her from under the water...

For the first time in her life, she was not sore from bruises inflicted on her by her coisin, Evil digimon, yes, but her cousin, no.

She had freinds.

For the first time, she felt... whole?

Was that what the feeling that was built inside of her was? Wholeness?

Her breathing had given her less and less of a problem, as time in the Digiworld wore on.

Izzy had theorised that it was a result of being in a world where there was not nearly as many air contaminates.

Katina had figured he was probably right... But deep down inside, she knew better.

Ninety-four percent of the time, it was brought on by to much stress.

She knew this... Not that the Digital world was not stressfull, but it simply wasn't the same type of stress.

Digimon could be destroyed, or reformed... The things at home, could not.

She was floating around on her back, allowing the sun to penetrate the very depths of her mind and soul.

There was a sudden splash, as three or four more people joined them in the lake.

~ ahh yess, more of them...~ it thought.

Rollong over, and going under, Katina saw the small white and blue digimon playing underwater, with some brighty colored fish... or what she assumed were fish.

Coming up, she saw T.K. and Jyou, and Matt in the water as well.

The little Digimon that accompanied T.K. splashed into the water.

The one she had heard Matt refer to as Gabumon, was sitting on the dry land, his feet in the water.

Soon, The others came racing through the trees, and into the lake.

After a while, Matt even talked Gabumon to get into the shallow part of the water, and at least wash off, if nothing else.

Katina took a deep breath, and dove into the deep water.

She spotted something on the other side of the lake, a little further from where everyone else was.

There was an openeing into the rock that was embedded around half of the lake.

Coming up for air, she noticed how far she was from the others.

The blurry shapes that signified them, danced before her eyes.

Her glasses were clipped safely on her belt.

She checked to make sure they were still there, and being reasurred they were, she took yet another breath, and dove under.

It watched her.

It remembered her. The grace of which she swam with was uncanny, and it watched as she swam forth.

Gommamon noticed how far out Katina was, and followed.

As Katina began her swift swim into the cave, Gommamon followed.

She noticed a light ahead of her.... Not sure of what it might be, she was very silent when she broke above water, for air.

The only thing that greeted her was the dancing of lightoff the cave walls.

She put her glasses on.

And gasped, in surpise.

The walls were covered with crystals, which reflected the small amount of light coming into the cave from out side.

Coming out of the water, Katina ran her hands over the walls of the cave. They were perfectly smooth, not a flaw to be found.

Gommamon came out of the water behind Katina, but he was not quite as silent about it.

Katina jumped at the sound of splashing water.

" Hiya Kat! "

" Uh... hi..."

The Digimon smiled, " You don't have to be shy around me, Kat... We're friends."

Katina smiled, " Yeah, I know... Why did you follow me?"

" I was wondering why you wandered so far from the rest of us..."

" I saw the opening of the cave..."

Gommamon looked at her, in an amused manner, " You like to be left alone, huh?"

" What makes you say something like that?"

" Just the way you act. So are we going to go back to the others now?"

Katina shook her head, " I want to see the rest of the cave, but you can go back, if you want to."

Gommamon watched as she began to head for another opening in the cave.

He thought about it for a moment, and then followed her.

The cave floor began to slope upwards, and soon, they were looking out into the sun.

Coming out of the cave, Katina discovered that they were only on the other side of the lake.

She looked at Gommamon, " I'm going back in..."

He watched her dissapear from sight. And sighed.

Looking at the rest of he group, still playing in the water, he decided to follow her once more.

" Kat... where are you?"

" I'm right here.." came the reply, from not far in front of him.

He saw her, peering out from an unseen corner of the cave, " Come an see what I've found." she said, " There's even more this way."

He followed.

" Watch your step, you never know what kind of digimon might be down here." he warned her.

Katina laughed, softly.

" What do you find so funny?"

" Back when I lived in the U.S. We had so many caves around, that they all connected to each other, under most of the state. I was an expert there at exploring them. You have no idea how many bears and snakes, and cats I've run across." she laughed again, " Believe me... I know I need to watch out... "

Gommamon watched her as they continued into the cave, " Kats?" he asked.

" Oh, cougers, Panthers, Bobcats... Feirce creatures that live in our world... Beautiful, and graceful, but also cunning, and deadly. They're normally carnivorus..."

" What do you mean?"

" They eat meat... They're hunters, they track and kill their food."

Gommamon stopped dead in his tracks.

" What..." he said, in a tone unlike his usual perkiness.

Katina stopped and turned around, " What's wrong?" she asked, " Did you hear something?"

Gommamon stared at her, " You're a...? AGK!! You don't want to eat me!!! I'm stringy!!!"

He ran the other way.

Katina stared after him, and then decided to follow, still unsure of what she had said.

Upon coming out of the cave, she watched him as he torpedoed across the water to Jyou.

Scratching her head, she stared after him.

She put her glasses back on her belt, and swam back to the others.

The water rippled where she dove in... It counted the ripples... even, even...

Following unseen, it watched the following scenes, weighing the situation. deciding when the first move would be made.

The first attack would be...

Coming up for air, she was surprised by Gommamon ramming her in the stomach, from underwater.

" What the hell?!" came from Jyou. Gommamon came up in front of him, " What the hell are you doing Gommamon?!" he demanded.

Katina came up sputtering, " What the F*** was that for?!!"

" You have to get through me to get to Jyou..." warned Gommamon.

Everyone just stared.

" Would anyone like to explain what's going on?" asked Sora.

" I wish I KNEW." said Katina.

" SHe's a KAT!!" accused Gomammon, pointing at her, " And she carmerotis, cerarovus.. camenorus... A MEAT EATER!!"

This caused yet more stares from everyone.

" What does this have to do with you attacking her?" demanded Jyou.

Tai held up his hand, " Can we all get out of the water first... Then we can get on with this..."

After everyone got out of the lake, Gommamon set about telling every one about Kats cats, and excactly what they did.

When he was finished, all of the humans were sweatdropped, while most of the digimon were ready to protect their Digidestined partners.

Suddenly there was a round of laughter from all the humans, and the digimon starered on as they all rolled from some unheard joke.

" What's so funny?" asked Palmon, " Clearly, she is dangerous..."

This caused the humans to laugh even harder.

It was the Digimon, now, who sweatdropped.

It was Izzy who stopped laughing first, " Katina is not a cat." he said plainly.

" My NICKNAME is Kat, yes... but as for being A cat..." she laughed again, " I think not."

Tai looked at Augumon, who was standing in front of him, protectivly, " You remeber Meko? She is a tame, loving version of what Katina was talking about." he explained.

" Are all cats that small?" asked Augumon, " I can take them on... you don't ever have to worry about them..."

Tai laughed, " The worst thing I could get out of Meko is a timid little mew. Besides, the cats Katina was talking about are much MUCH bigger." he gestured widely with his hands.

Jyou nudged Gommamon, " Hey, I think you need to do something..."

Gommamon blushed, " Uh... I'm sorry for head butting you." he muttered.

Katina laughed, " That's alright. I can understand why you did it."

~...now...~ it thought, coming up from the depths of the water.

The children were suddenly greeted with the sound of a water spout.

Turning to look, the children all gasped to see before them, MegaShadowmon.

Izzys computer brought up the analysis:

" MegaShadowmon is DARKMON in his Ultimate form..." said Izzy.

Wazardmon stood in front of Katina, Knowing what had happened the last time Katina has run across the same Digimon, from reading her thoughts, and talking to Izzy.

Izzy took a place at Katinas side, and Tentomon stood in front of him.

MegaShadowmon motioned with his claw, " I want her... Give her to me..." he demanded in a clam tone.

" You cannot have her!" cried out Izzy, and Wizardmon at the same time.

"What do you want with her??!!" demanded Matt.

" Go crawl back to your snake pit!" yelled Kari.

" Yeah!!"

" I only wish to make her my own... Do you not feel compasion for one who is love...?" claimed MegaShadowmon.

Katina watched the evil Digimons movements. His hands came up in front of him.

" He's getting ready to attack!" she yelled, " HAUL!!"

Sure enough, " SHADOW WAVE!!" he cried.

Finding that his attack had missed, " DARK TRANSPORT!"

Everyone was transported to a large, cave-like room.

There was no way out, and no room for the digimon to Digivolve.

MegaShadowmon was in the place almost instantly after they were.

" You're trapped... give her to me. and you may all leave. Refuse, and I will take my love by force, and leave you all smeared throughout the caverns."

" No way!! We go down fighting!!" cried Tai.

" You want one of us, you have to take all of us on!" said Sora.

" Yeah..." complied Mimi.

" Bring it on!" said Matt. Gabumon agreed.

T.K. and Patamon stood next to Kari and Gatomon.

" You can't have her, so go away!!" they said together.

" Then you choose forse?" he asked, sarcasm lacing his voice, " You are unwise in your choices, then." he raised his hands to attack.

" Leave them alone..." Katina growled.

" Why, certainly, my dear Katina, just give yourself to me, and they shall leave, unharmed."

Katina hung her head in defeat, " Then allow them leave now, and I shall come with you..."

" NO! KAT!! NO!!" came the shocked replies from the others, human and Digimon alike.

" Good!! And soon we shall be as it was ment to be!! Together..."

" On ONE condition..." finished Katina.

The dark digimon smiled down at the human girl, " What ever you wish, my love..."

"Please, allow Wizardmon to acompany me." she said, motioning to her Digimon partner.

MegaShadowmon sneered, " I will do no such thing, Katina, my love... Do you think me stupid?"

Katina whipped her dagger out of her bag and held it to her throat, " If you do not, then I shall slit my own throat."

Everyone gasped, human and Digimon alike.

This seemed to shock the Digimon.

He took a step forwards, " Now, do not do anything hasty, Katina... "

" Allow it, and my friends safe passage."

The Digimon found himself trapped, " Very well... he may acompany you."

Katina put her dagger back.

Izzy watched her carefully ~ What is she doing? She remembers what he did last time.~

Wizardmon stood next to Katina. He, too, could not figure out what she was doing, but as he had vowed to stand by her, he did not ask questions.

"Let them go. Now." she said in a firm voice.

" Very well, my love..." there was a flash of light, as a doorway apeared in the stone, just behind the digidestined.

It opened, reveiling the outside.

" Go... You are free to go... this time, digidestined, I have what I want."

Noone moved.

Katina whipped around, " You heard him! GO!" she motioned to the door.

Still noone moved.

" Not without you, Kat." said Izzy, " I will not leave without you."

" And I will not leave without Izzy." said Jyou.

" We won't leave without Jyou." said Sora and Tai.

" Tai needs me, And I wont go.." said Kari.

" Sora is my best friend, I'm not going anywhere." said Mimi.

" I won't leave without Mimi." said Matt.

" And Matt is my big brother, I wont leave him." said T.K.

" So it seems as though you might have to leave to get us to leave as well." said Izzy.

MegaShadowmon sneered, " How utterly sweet... Makes me sick to my stomache... I only warn you once more, leave alive, or leave as corpses.... It's your choice." he motioned to the door.

Once again noone moved.

Katina shook her head, " Please, I'm begging you, leave, or else I will have to take measures to it, myself." She was so close to tears, she could feel them burning her eyes.

The same as before.

" Please forgive me then..." she breathed, barely audible.

~Wizardmon... please, understand when I ask you to do this...~ quickly in her head she explained it to him.

"MAGICAL BEAM!!" the blast hit just in front of the humans and digimon.

" Hey! What are you doing?!!" cried Tai.

" Leave, as she told you..." said Wizardmon, looking at them from under his hat.

" No." was the only statement from the group.

It came from Gatomon.

" I left you once, I cannot do it again."

~Gatomon... You must understand.. If it was between you and Kari, would you not do the same? I must stay and protect her. You must get the others out of here, before he kills all of you.~

Gatomon stared at him... ~ I understand, Wizardmon... And I will help you... ~

" Come on!! We must leave!!" she cried, grabbing Kari by the arm, and begining to drag her out of the cavern.

"Gatomon! Let me go!!"

" Kari!" Tai dove after his sister, finding that once he was on the other side, he could not go back inside.

" GO! NOW!! BEFORE IT'S TO LATE!!!" shouted Katina, "... please.. I'm begging you."

The digidestined saw the look of desperation in her eyes, and it was Mimi who saw that she knew what she was doing.

She began to head for the door.

" Mimi! Where are you going?" asked Palmon.

" Sora, come on! Katina knows what she is doing!" she said, reaching the door.

Biyomon took Sora by the arm, and began to lead her out.

Matt, and T.K. were the next to come to the conclusion that Katina knew what she was doing.

They, too, began to go.

Izzy did not move. He did not budge.

" I will not leave without you." he said.

Jyou put a hand on Izzy shoulder, " Come on, Izzy, she knows..."

" I WILL NOT leave without her!" he said, jerking free of the grasp.

" Izzy?" said Tentomon.

Izzy looked into Katinas eyes.

She was crying.

" Sorry, Izzy, but this is for your own good..." Jyou took a few steps back, and then tackled Izzy, pushing him through the door, and onto the grass.

Tentomon and Gommamon were the last two to come through.

Katina fell to her knees as the door dissapeared.

Wizardmon knelt next to her.

~What have I done?~

Izzy punched Jyou as hard as he could in the eye, sending the taller boy flying back.

The shorter one got to his feet, and lept for Jyou.

"AGK! Get him OFFA me!!" cried Jyou.

It took both Tai and Matt to get Izzy off.

" Damn, Izzy, I never knew you had it in you." stated Tai.

" Shut up, Tai." said Matt.

Izzy glared at Jyou, from where he was being pinned between the other two boys, " Damn you!! Damn you, Jyou!! Look at what you have done!!" he began to cry.

" Izzy.." said Tentomon.

" Leave me the HELL alone!!"

Tentomon took a step forward, twards him.

" Izzy, " said Sora, " What would you have done? What COULD ANY of us have done?" she asked.

" I would have found a way!" he was no longer struggling to get free, " I would have, Damn it!!!"

" Calm down, Izzy." said Matt.

Izzy was let down, and he turned feircly at the two who had gotten him off of Jyou, " Calm down?" he retorted.

" Chill out, Izzy..." said Tai.

" I WILL NOT CHILL OUT!! You chill the F*** out!! I LOVE HER DAMMIT!!!"

Everyone was dumbstruck by the manner and response from Izzy.

There was scilence for a moment.

Suddenly, It was as though Izzy had just discovered what he thought.

" Oh my God. I love her...."

Tentomon watched as his friend broke down, right there, in the middle of the rest of the digidestined.

Katina watched as another door opened on the other side of the cave.

" When you go through there, you will find a room for you to get cleaned up in. Go, and be prepared for me to call on you." MegaShadowmon motioned to the door.

Katina looked at Wizardmon. ~ Do you think it's safe? ~

~ No.~

~ Could I ask you to do something childish? ~

~ What? ~

~ Hold my hand... I'm afraid. ~

The two walked throught the door, together, holding hands.

There was a bright flash of light, and then, they were standing in the middle of a big room.

Katina looked at Wizardmon, and blushed, " Thank you." she said, taking back her hand.

" That is alright. I can understand why you were afriad."

" Are." corrected Katina.

She sat down, shakily on the bed, " I'm still afraid... I'm not sure what I was thinking."

She put her head in her hands. ~ I was being dumb ~ she thought to herself.

" You were thinking about your friends, instead of yourself." Wizardmon, " That is not dumb. It is very brave."

Katina looked at him. She had forgotton that he could read her thoughts, momentarily.

She shook her head, " I was stalling. Trying to figure out what to do. It was the first thing that came to me. "

" You were concerned with the safety of your friends."

There was a knock on the large door at the front of the room.

It opened, and in came a Digimon with bright yellow fur, and not much else. The eyes were large and pink, and really, the only part of its furry little body that showed.

It blinked once, and then bowed very low.

" Darklady Katina, I bring you gifts." it said in a low, gurgling voice.

Stepping aside, it reveiled three boxes.

" They are from MegaShadowmon. He bears you to get some rest, and be prepared to use them, tommorrow."

Bowing again, it left the room, and the door dissapeared.

Katina looked at Wizardmon.

" What do you think?"

" I do not believe he would harm you, at this point."

" Neither do I... I'm just, hesitant about any 'gifts' he might be presenting me."

Wizardmon nodded.

Izzy sat in front of the fire, among his friends.

There was scilence.

The clicking of keys was not heard.

Matt had been playing his harmonica, but had stopped, after seeing that it had made Izzy cry.

The only thing that was heard was the sound of the fire crackling.

Sora had dozed off, and Tai had taken watch.

Soon, it was only he and Izzy who were awake.

" You're thinking about her." he said, not looking at Izzy.

No answer.

" You know I'm sorry about earlier." Tai sighed, " but we could not just have let you st..."

" Shut up, Tai." said Izzy, " Just shut up."

~ Well, shut up is better than nothing at all.~ thought Tai.

The two sat in scilence, and finally, Izzy fell into a restless sleep.

Katina opened the first box.

Removing the tissue paper, she found a silk band rimmed with lace. It was blue.

The next box was a hairpeice with a veil. White. Snow white, it looked old though.

The last box, she opened, reveiled her worst nightmare.

She swore in spanish.

" What?" asked Wizardmon, confused by the sudden foreign outburst.

" Oh shit."

" What is it?" asked Wizardmon.

Katina lifted the object from the box, to reveil the most beautiful virgin white wedding dress you have seen in your entire life.

" The asshole wants me to marry him." she said, " My Gawd, he wants me to marry him." she began to cry.

Her lungs began to burn as the familiar pain began to spread. Her breaths became short, and forced.

Wizardmon caught her by the arm before her knees went from beneath her.

" You need to get some rest." he said, sternly.

" I'm... not... tired..." she wheezed.

" You need your strength." he led her to the bed, and she sat down.

" I can't marry him..."

"Please, Katina... get some sleep." he pleaded with her.

" What if he comes in and tries..."

" I wont let him."

She tried to get up, but he held her down.

" Sleep." he commanded.

Almost instantly, she went limp, and fell into the same restless slumber that Izzy had fallen into.

He let go of her.

ALRIGHT FOLKS... GETTING CLOSER TO THE END!! ARE YOU EXCITED???

Izzy and Katina are back at home.

Kat is in her room, working on the finall chapter of Izzys First Crush.

" You know, something Izzy?"

" What?"

" We're supposed to be in there helping her, and she's locked us out."

" Yeah.. what's with that?"

Izzy snickers... " I have an Idea..."

" Oh.... oh boy, what?" Katina is now excited.

Izzy whips out his laptop, and begins typing.

" We'll just hack into her computer, and see what she's typing..." he trails off, as he continues what he is doing.

A FEW MOMENTS LATER...

" Oh... this is..." he shakes his head.

Katina looks over his shoulder, and shudders, " This can NOT be good...."

" How awful...!!! AGK! Look at this!!!" he points to the screen.

Kat opens her bedroom door to listens to her two muses gagging.

She snickers, and gets back to her REAL writting.

" Hehehehe.... I KNEW that'd get 'em."

Screams are heard from the living room.

" HAVE MERCY!!!! PLEASE!!!!"
