There is a loud bang, as the narrator is shot by Katgrrl.

" I knew I'd heard that guy before. And he told me he had never worked

for any company before!!!!" she blows the smoke from her gun, " He's the

same moron who narrates Pokemon, and then went in for Digimon... heheheh...

good riddance."

The narrator dizzolves into little bits of information.

" Huh... he's a digimon." says Izzy, " I'll be..."

" Looks, folks, the long and short of it is, I do not own Digimon

otherwise, I'd be very happy." Katgrrl looks at her computer screen, " But

hey, if you wanna trade, I have a younger brother you can have!! He only

thinks he knows it all, and you gotta feed him, but other than that, he's a

good pet."

Katina stares at Katgrrl, " Your brother? You make him sound like some

sort of rodent..."

" Well, he IS... Or at least he acts like one." she snickers.

AND NOW, ON TO THE FICCY!!!!

He was running.

Her eyes... he could see her eyes, there in the dark.

And her voice was bekoning to him.

He saw light.

Following it, he found her.

-no-

She was sitting next to MegaShadowmon, smiling.

-she's happy-

She's mine!! laughed MegaShadowmon, No longer yours to have, but MINE!!

-no-

He steps back. And then races forward.

" NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

He felt shaking.

-Izzy- she called out to him.

-Izzy-

" Izzy? Hey Izzy, wake up..."

He opened his eyes groggily, " Huh...? wha? Wha's going on?"

" You were shouting out in your sleep... It was just a dream, Izzy." the

source of the voice was next to him.

Jyou.

He still wanted to scalp the older boy for what he did. But he wondered

what Katina would think of him if he did it.

"Oh."

" You were dreaming about her, weren't you?"

" Yes."

" She'll be alright."

" Will she, Jyou? Will she really be okay? We have no way to get to her,

we have no way to even find out WHERE she is..." he wrapped his arms around

his knees, " I'm so afraid I'll never see her again... She doesn't even

know how I feel..."

Looking up at the older boy, he continued, " Jyou, I may never be able

to tell her what I feel. I didn't tell her before, because I was so afraid

that she would run the other way... and when I did find the guts and the

chances to tell her, we were interuppted." he shook his head, " I just feel

so... I don't know... It's a feeling I've never experianced before. Like

being... Oh.. I don't know why I'm even telling you this."

He stopped.

Jyou looked up at the sky, " My mom used to tell me that love was

something that hit you worse than any illness you could ever get. It made

your stomache ache when you thought of them, and you felt light headed when

you were around them. She always told me that you felt like you could never

do anything without them, and would do anything for them." he looked back

down at Izzy, " Is that how you feel?"

Izzy nodded, " That, plus some."

Jyou nodded, " I think she feels the same way."

" Scince I'm already up, I'll go ahead and take the next watch."

" Are you sure?"

" I'm sure. Go. Get some rest."

" Alright. Goodnight, Izzy."

Izzy nodded, " Goodnight, Jyou."

She saw him... In that horrid room she was in, she saw him.

She smiled when she saw him.

He looked terrified.

-Izzy-

He charged at MegaShadowmon.

-noooooooo-

" NOOOOO!!! IZZY!!!" she cried out.

" Katina..." came a gentle voice, " Katina, wake up."

He shook her gently.

"... Izzy..." she murmered.

" Katina...?"

She rolled over, and opened an eye halfway.

"... It was a dream... a... nightmare...."

" Are you alright? "

She nodded, " Yes, Wizardmon, I'm fine"

" I was worried, with the way you were tossing and turning. I thought

at first you were having a seizure."

Katina shuddered, she immedietly reached down to her ankle, the one

with the brace.

" No, Wizardmon, It was just a.." ~ A what? A dream? No... THAT was a

nightmare.~

The digimon hugged Katina, surprising her.

" It's okay now.." he said, " knoe that it's hard, but I wont let

anything happen to you."

Katina buried her head in his cape, "" He wants me to marry him... How

can I do something like that?"

She began to sob again.

Izzy watched the stars in the sky, as they began to fade, and the sun

rose.

It seemed dreary, and the sky became overcast.

Soon it would be time for the others to awaken.

As the last star faded, he wished that he would have told her... Even

if it would have been while she was asleep, He would have been grateful to

get it out of him.

He sighed.

The others had to be waken, and he had to do it.

Katina awoke a second time, to the smell of food.

Her stomach growled, as it justly reminded her that she had not eaten

scince the morning before.

Wizardmon was talking with the same digimon she had seen the night

before. The one who had brought her 'gifts' up to her.

Her glasses wee not on her face, so all that she saw was the blurry

colorings of them.

She could only hear bits and peices of what was being said.

" Cannot... till the... says her... power might... needed in..."

"..... WILL NOT... EVER... EVERY BIT... HAVE... do you UNDERSTAND??"

The smaller creature nodded, and left the room.

" What was that all about?" asked Katina in a groggy voice.

" Oh. Nothing. Just talking to Gesamon."

" So what did fuzzy have to say?" she asked, grabbing for her glasses.

Wizardmon arched an eyebrow, at this remark.

It had been laced with sarcasm. Or perhaps, nonbelief that it was just

nothing.

" Well, I was just asking him..."

Katina was still searching for her glasses, was becoming frantic, and

sore. " Where the hell are they?" she muttered.

Wizardmon watched her eyes squint, in search of her pink rimmed glasses.

" What are you looking for?" he asked.

" My damn glasses."

They were handed to her.

She put them on, " Thank you..."

" I was just asking him what it was MegaShadowmon wanted from you."

" And what, praytell did he have to say to that?"

Wizardmon hesitated.

" You know you can tell me."

He sighed. "Apparently, he is in love with you."

Katina rolled her eyes, " Unfourtunatly for us."

She watched him, " What else."

" I'm not sure..."

She grabbed him suddenly by the arm, " Don't lie to me. I've lived with

liars so much in my life, that I know a lie when I hear one."

Wizardmon sighed.

There was a sound at the door.

A new digimon entered. This one was taller, and had a shorter companion.

" Hello, I am Wiramon, and this is Carmon." Said the shorter one.

From the tone of its voice, Katina asummed that it was female.

" What do you want?" Wizardmon demanded.

" We were sent up by MegaShadowmon, to prepare his bride."

" Leave us."

The taller one spoke, it to was female, " We must prepare her and bring

her down to him at once."

" Leave us." repeated Wizardmon.

" Do not start a fight with us." said the short one.

" Now move, that we might begin." said the tall one.

Wizardmon stood, and held his staff forward, " I will prepare her, now

leave."

Katina shook her head, " Wizardmon... I can..."

" We will tell him that you said this." they both bowed lowly and left.

Katina glared at Wizardmon, " I'm not even going to ask what that was

all about." she said.

He watched her as she got up out of bed, and shook her hair out of her

face.

She got up and walked over to the three boxes, then she trned to her

digimon.

" I WILL NOT marry him." she stated.

Motioning to the boxes, she told him, " I will not wear this 'stuff'. I

will not go down there, and I WONT MARRY THAT EVIL JERK!!!"

Wizardmon motioned for her to calm down, " Now, now... Listen to me. I

have a plan."

Katina arched an eyebrow, " What kind of plan?"

Izzy walked alongside the others.

It was as it had been the last time they had been to the digiworld.

Eight kids, eight Digimon, and a lot of complaining.

His laptop beeped.

He ignored it, wishing, for once, that he was not the computer genius

of the group.

It beeped again.

" Izzy...?"

He sighed, and stopped in his tracks.

He knew what Mimi was going to say.

" What, Mimi?"

" Your backpack is beeping..."

" I know, Mimi."

Sora turned to see Mimi talking to Izzy.

" Well, aren't you going to check it out?"

Izzy turned around, and looked at her.

It beeped again, before he could say anything.

He took out the laptop, and opened it, wishing that the familiar light

weight of Katinas hands were over his own.

It was mail from Gennia.

" Guys! " He said, " We have mail from Gennia."

Everyone gathered around him.

"It's about Kat!" he said, becoming excited.

Hello, children, I have just recieved word that Katina is in the

clutches of MegaShadowmon.

I understood that you have been split apart from her, and you have no

idea where she is. Well, I'm here to give you directions to the wedding.

That's right, I said Wedding. MegaShadowmon is forcing Katina to marry

him. It begins at Sunset, tonight.

And if you do not get there before the ceremony is compleate, she will

be his forever, and your worst enemy, Izzy, you know what I'm talking about.

I have downloaded a map to them in the computer harddrive, follow it

excactly, and remember that not everything is as it seems.

Gennai

Izzy stared at the screen. Even after the message dissapeared, he stared

at the blankness of his screen.

" So, Izz,man, let's see this map before the wedding..." said Matt.

For somereason, Izzy was brought back to the real world ( Well, the one

they were in, anyway.) at this remark.

He brought up the screen that Gennai had downloaded on to his computer.

The map showed them excactly which path to take, to get to

MegaShadowmons lair. It was a bunch of little dots, one in front of the

other.

" Let's GO!" shouted Tai, grabbing Izzy by the arm.

Katina watched as Wizardmon turned his back to her.

She only had to explain it a hundred times, he was NOT going to help

her get dressed in the terribly beautiful dress that MegaShadowmon had given her.

She stripped her clothes off, and got into the white dress.

" Can I turn around now?" asked Wizardmon.

" Just a minute, I can't get the damn zipper to zip." she muttered,

trying to reach the stubborn zipper that went up to her hip, on the side

of the dress.

She shouted out loud as her finger got caught in the zipper, " F***ING

ZIPPER!!" she shouted,

" DAMN THAT HURT!!"

Wizardmon turned around at the shouting, to see Katina sucking on her

finger.

The zipper still wasn't zipped.

He could see the upper half of her leg, where the zipper was supposed

to be zipped.

She glared at him, and used her other hand to cover it.

" Do you need help with that?" he asked her.

She sighed, in defeat, " Yes." she said, with her mouth full of her

index finger.

He knelt down next to her, and pulled on the zipper.

It didn't budge.

"Hmph." he sighed.

After exsamining the zipper, he saw what the problem was.

" There's a peice of fabric blocking it..." he said, not saying

anything about the little peice of skin he saw as well.

He began to untangle the fabric, and while he did so, he noticed

that there was a scar on her leg.

He didn't say anything about that either.

The zipper came right up.

Katina sighed, " Thank you."

She took her finger out of her mouth, and exsamined it.

It was bleeding. The little drop of crimson fell down her finger, and

into her palm.

All she could do was stare at it.

Wizardmon saw it, " Is that why you said fu..."

Katina cut in, " Yes. And I was not supposed to say that, please don't

repeat it." she felt like laughing.

" Than why did you say it?"

" I was upset. Look, to tell you the truth, in the past two days I have

found myself saying alot of things I shouldn't.... the other words I use,

they're.... well, they're not very nice, but they're accepted... the other

word, though.... I've only used it three times in my entire life, and that

was the third time. So please... Even though it did slip from my mouth,

don't repeat it.

He stood back and looked at her.

The gown WAS exceptonally well made, of the finest satin to be found.

The fact that Katina was in it, contributed GREATLY.

Her dark hair was still in her ponytail, but it seemed even darker

against the whit of the fabric, and her skin seemed even richer, toning

from a cinnamony color to a pale chocolate.

Her eyes, were sad, though, and he could see the weariness in them.

" Well, " she sighed, " Do I look convincing?"

" You're hair is really long."

She saw him looking at her pony tail.

" No." she said, backing away, " No way... You ARE NOT going to CUT MY

HAIR!!"

He put up his hands, " I hadn't planned on it. I was just thinking..."

Katina turned around, to find herself face to face with herself... A

mirror.

She saw now why he was staring at her ponytail.

" So what do you suggest?" she asked, almost afraid of what the digimon

had in mind.

"Welll...."

They seemed to walk forever... And then when forever was up, they walked

somemore.

There was a loud sound and the entire group turned, and saw what seemed

to be Katina running to them.

Izzy froze.

It was her. It wasn't a dream...

"Kat..." he uttered.

She came at them, and then, ran past them, into the dark caverns ahead.

Izzy could smell the scent of flowers on her, just as she had smelled

the first time he had met her, when they were little... And again when they

had been in his room.

Tai stared after her.

" Was it just me? Or was that weird?" asked Matt.

Augumon looked up at Tai. " That doesn't seem right." he said.

Gommamon watched Izzy, and looked over at Tentomon, " Don't let him do

it." he said, "It smells like trouble."

Izzy was already headed for the caverns where he had seen Katina head.

Tentomon grabbed Izzy by the arm, and tried to pull him back from the

crevaices.

" No, Izzy... Remember what Gennai said? Not everything is as it seems...

" he pulled even harder.

Izzy didn't listen, he tried to get past Tentomon.

Sora and Mimi each grabbed an arm, and drug him back, just before the

cave caved in.

This woke him up.

He began to cry, " It was so real."

" Dammit, I could smell her... I could smell the spices in her hair..."

he began to break...

Katina looked at Wizardmon again, " So... How do I look?"

He looked at her.

For someone who was not even the same species, she was certainly

attractive.

" I think Izzy would drool if he saw you." he stated.

Katina stared at him surprised by the remark.

" I... uh...." she stammered.

Wizardmon watched her as she sat down on the bed.

It was about this time he noticed the locket she was wearing.

" What is that?" he asked, pointing to it.

Katina reached up to it. " My locket."

" What have you got in it?"

" It's just something that I...."

There was a knock at the door.

Wizardmon was in front of Katina in an instant.

Standing before them now, was a vey large, very mean looking digimon.

" Tidomon." muttered Wizardmon.

" I do not bring you harm, Wizardmon, stand down, I was told to come and

talk to the new bride to be." It was female, as the others had been. Though

it did not look it.

" What do you want?" asked Wizardmon, menacingly.

" Look, buddy, I was told to see if she was wearing any jewelry, okay? "

Katina stood up, next to Wizardmon, " Why?"

" MegaShadowmon wished you to lay it aside, and cast these upon yourself,

instead."

She held out a box, amd opened it.

Inside of it, there was a necklace, and a bracelet.

They were both of silver, with black inlaid jewels.

Katina looked at Wizardmon.

He looked at her.

The Digimon layed the box down on the small table aside the door, and

left.

Katina walked over, and opened it.

Looking at the blackness of the jewels, she noticed something else as

well.

Small green jewels inset on either side of the black jewel.

"Green pearls." she said.

Wizardmon was next to her, " I do not like the feeling I get from seeing

these." he muttered.

" To tell you the truth, neither do I.." said Katina, " But I don't

see where I have much of a chioce."

She fingered the faded, fraying cord around her neck.

" But I guess I cannot wear this, either." she said, " It's going to

fall off one of these days..."

She sighed.

" What's wrong with it?" asked Wizardmon.

" Well, the cord's ready to fall apart... I'm lucky it's stayed for so

many years." She fingered it more, and hesitated.

She looked at Wizardmon, " You know, I've never taken it off."

" Why not?"

" Well, I'll tell you... It's like this... when I first lived near

Izzy..."

FLASHBACK....

" Look at those books!" she pointed to the books stacked near her.

Izzy watched her as she lovingly touched them.

The marketplace had all sorts of old stuff that people could buy at a

whim.

Something nearby the books caught her eye.

" Izzy, come, and look at this..." she motioned to him.

He came to her.

She pointed to a stash of old jewlry sitting in a shoe box, for sale.

The thing in particular she was pointing to was an old silver locket.

It was tarnished, and had a single spot of rust on the hinge. There was no

chain to it either.

The people selling it wanted three dollars for it.

" Get it... I think you would look nice in it."

Katinas face fell, " I can't get it." she said.

" Why not?" aske Izzy.

" My moth... I don't have enough money." she lied. The truth was her

mother did not like her having anything that could be worth alot of money,

because they moved so much.

Katina went back to the books, and flipped through them, trying to get

her mind off of the locket.

Izzy watched her flip through the books. When he was sure she wasn't

looking, he took the locket, and paid for it.

Slipping it in his pocket, Katina ran up to him, " Come on! There's

more over there!!" she pointed to another booth.

PRESENT....

" About a week before my birthday that year, he presented me with this

little paper covered package...." her eyes were begining to water, " He had

polished that little locket, and slipped it onto this cord. He had said he

couldn't wiat for my birthday to come to give it to me." she laughed under

her breath.

" I wore it under my clothes for years, so my mother wouldn't find out."

she shook her head, "Then she eft, and it didn't matter.. but... still...

I wore it under my clothes. It was like it was my secret... Something that

only I knew about."

" I see." said Wizardmon.

" That, and If My cousin had seen it, he would have wanted me to

sell it."

She reached behind her neck, and almost painfully, undid the clasp,

and took it off.

Holding it out in front of herself, she stared. It had been many years

scince she had seen it like this.

She held it out to Wizardmon, " Could I ask you a favor?"

" Certainly."

" Would you keep it safe for me? I don't want to lose it." she said.

He took it from her shaking hands.

It was Biyomon who first noticed the looming cliff ahead of the group.

" I DON'T want to climb that." complained Mimi.

Izzy looked up at it, and then at the map on the computer screen.

" That isn't right." he said.

" What do you mean?" asked Tentomon.

" According to the map from Gennai, there is not a cliff here." he shook

his head, " On the contrary, there is supposed to be a chasm with a little

bridge crossing it."

Kari picked up a rock, and threw it at the cliff.

It dissapeared.

The others in the group stared.

" An illusion." stated Gatomon.

" And what's worse is the fact that we cannot tell where this bridge is

supposed to be." said Jyou.

He groaned under his breath.

Izzy looked at his computer, and then at the looming cliff.

It was T.K. who figured out a way for them to find the bridge.

He looked at Tentomon, and then at Biyomon.

" Why don't you just fly into the thingy, and see where it is?" he asked

them.

Biyomon and Tentomon looked at each other, and then at their respective

partners.

Izzy could have hit himself, " Of course! Why did I not think of that?!"

Mat ruffled his little brothers hair, lovingly, " T.K. you're a genius." he said.

Tentomon and Biyomon flew into the illusion, and came back out a moment

later.

"It's right there." they motioned almost directly in front of the group.

Crossing the bridge was the next to last thing that they had to do

before they got to Katina, and MegaShadowmon.

Katina stood when the digmon who had called herself Carmon entered the

room.

" You must be prepared for the ceremony." she said simply, " So call off

your cute little friend here."

She motioned to Wizardmon.

The only reaction she got to that was a dirty look.

Katina couldn't help but giggle.

Her heart ached. She knew now that she could no longer put off the

inevitable.

~I'm sorry Izzy, I love you.~ she thought.

Following the female Digimon, down a dark, dank hall, she shivered.

Wizardmon walked next to her.

~I'm afraid.~ she thought.

~ I will not allow then to hurt you.~

~ I know.... ~

~You're trying to be brave.~

Katina stared straight ahead, ~Yes.~

~ Do not be afraid.~

~ I'm trying.... Really.~

~ I know.~

The siluette of a tower reached his eyes.

That was where she was.

" There." he pointed, " That is the end of the trail."

The sun was begining to set already. The wedding would begin at sunset.

" Who's going in with me?" asked Izzy.

Tentomon had to admit, For Izzy, he was being awfully brave. Perhaps

there was hope for him and his laptop yet.

Patamon was perched on T.K.s head, " We have to go in there?" he asked.

" Yes, Patamon." said T.K.

" Must we?" whined Mimi, " I mean it looks so dark and creepy." she

shuddered.

Palmon took her hand, " Didn't Katina go in after us?" she asked, "

When we were the prisoners of Queen Basimon?"

Mimi nodded, " You're right, Palmon."

" That's right, guys... Katina, T.K., Kari, Angemon, Angewomon, and

Wizardmon risked it for us." said Sora, " Katina would go in after us...

I'm going in."

" Count me in." said Tai.

" Me too." said Kari and T.K. at the same time.

" Jyou? Matt? " asked Mimi.

"I'm going." said Matt.

" I'm not staying here alone." said Jyou, " Besides, Kat's one of us,

right? I mean..."

" Let's go!"

Katina stood in front of a long table.

It was covered in a white cloth.

She assumed that it was a makeshift altar.

Looking on either side of her, she could see that there were hundreds,

maybe even thousands of candles lit.

They illuminated the world around her, and bathed it in an eerie light.

She shuddered, as somewhere arond here, there came the familar tune of

the wedding march. It sounded like it was coming from a music box.

There were Digimon coming into the room in front of the one she was in.

The one she was supposed to go into when her signal came.

Wizardmon watched her worried face, in the candle light. She was pale

in the face now. Like someone had drained her.

~ Are you going to be alright?~ he asked her.

She nodded.

~Is it going to work?~ she asked him.

~I have faith that it will.~ inwardly he hoped it would.

~ I'm praying it will.~ was her response.

They got into the tower with no problem.

It seemed that there were no Digimon gaurding it.

The sun hit the top of the tower.

The ceremony would begin shortly, if it had not already begun.

Izzy crossed his fingers.

They ran accross only one digimon, " Are you with the bride, or the

groom?" it asked.

" uhm...?"

" We're with the bride, good sir." said Mimi curtly.

" The left side please." it motioned to the one side of the room, where

there sat four other digimon.

The right side of the room was filled with the people for the groom.

Everyone became tense as some of the digimon from the other side turned

to face them, and then went back to muttering among themselves.

Sora looked at Matt, " Gee, you'd think that we were the most normal

things in this world." she whispered.

" We can't just stay here untill she comes out." stated Izzy, " We need

to go find her."

Jyou nodded in agreement.

" He's right, what are we gonna do? Sit here and wait for MegaSadowmon

to come out an destroy us? I think not.." he crossed his arms.

" Yeah, but they probably have her under heavy gaurd." Said Matt.

" He's right." agreed Gabumon.

Izzy got up, " I'm going to go search for her." he began to walk away.

" Izzy wait..." Mimi ran up to him, " I know how to find her." she said.

Izzy stared at her, " How?" he asked.

" Watch me...." Mimi smiled.

She walked back up to the Digimon at the door, " Excuse me could you

please tell me where to find the Brideschambers? Please?" she batted her

eyes.

The digimon looked around to see if any other digimon was watching, and

leaned over her, " If you give me a kiss, sugarpie..."

Mimi grimaced, " Tell me first, big boy.."

" Awww, come on, just one little peck?"

Mimi wiggled her hips, " Information first, kissing afterward..." she

watched him think about it, " Of, course, there are other, very good

looking digimon here I could go to..." she trailed off, and began to turn

her back on him.

He stopped thinking about it, " ALRIGHT! WAIT! I'll tell you... Her

chamber is two doors to the left on the floor below..." he puckered up,

" Now can I have my kiss?"

Mimi grimaced, " ... alright..." she moaned, and closed her eyes to

kiss him very breifly on the cheek.

Then she turned to Izzy, who was just staring.

" How'd you manage that?" he asked her.

" It just took a womans charm, I suppose."

Katina stared. It was all she COULD do.

A tear slipped down her face, as she heard someone yelling about

catering service.

Wizardmon had been told to leave her, untill the ceremony, when he

would walk her down the aisle.

There was no hope. Wizardsmon had been so sure that this plan would

work, as long as they were together, but she though otherwise now.

There was only the world. There was only a tiny glimmer of herself that

showed through. It was no longer in her eyes, though.

It was only now in the way she held herself.

There was more yelling, as there was a crash in front of the doorway.

She didn't even blink. It didn't exsist to her.

Nothing did.

They eight humans and Digimon crept up to the door to the room where

Katina was supposed to be.

Sora knocked.

" IS SOMEONE OUT THERE!??" came a familiar voice, " OPEN THE DOOR!"

There was banging from the other side.

The three older guys rammed the door, once, twice with the help from

their digimon, and the third time, with everyone.

The doors burst open, and in front of them stood Wizardmon, He looked a

little bt frayed, so to speak.

" He's going to Make Katina evil!" he said seeing the other kids,

" I must get to her!"

" What happened?" demanded Gatomon.

" Yeah, how did they seperate you and Kat?" asked Patamon.

" I'll explain it later!" he said, grabbing Katinas' backpack and

motioning for the others to follow,

" Come... she is this way!"

They began down the hall to find her.

There was a comotion outside of Katinas room. She only stared ahead of

herself.

She was not paying any attention to it.

They turned down the last hall before the room Katina was being kept

in.

" I'm coming, Kat." whispered Izzy.

I'm coming, Kat.

Katina blinked.

The hairs on her arm were raising.

She blinked again.

~He's coming...~ she thought.

Her hand went up instinctivly to find her locket.

It wasn't there.

" He's coming." she said out loud, and then looked down at herself.

" I can't fight in this damn thing." she muttered.

She unzipped the long dress, down to her slip, and bra.

She looked around the room.

There was only the tablecloth she had noticed earlier.

She snatched it off of the table, and wrapped it around herself.

They group ran for the door that Wizardmon pointed to.

" She should be in there." he said, breathlessly.

There were two very large, very tough looking Digimon watching the door.

" Go, Gatomon!"

" You too, Tentomon!"

"LIGHTNING PAW!!"

"SUPERSHOCKER!!"

This DEFINITLY got the two Digimons attention.

They went after the two Digimon and Digidestined.

The others went for Katinas room.

The door was unlocked.

Sora waved the guys back, and said, " And what about last time?" she

asked Tai, reminding him of when he walked in on Mimi.

He blushed and nodded.

Sora stuck her head in to see a not so surprisd Katina.

"Sora!" she cried happily, " I'm so glad to see you!" Her face fell, " But listen, I..."

Sora threw her her backpack, " Get dressed, and let's get outta here!"

Katina nodded, and quickly got into her jeans, and yellow shirt.

The other two humans, and Digimon, finally stopped, after the evil Digimon list interest in them, and went back to their posts.

They ran back to the others to tell them that the other Digimon were headed their way!

Katina came out of the room... (Fully dressed, GUYS) And looked at the others, Wizardmon hugged her.

" Huh? I thought you were..."

" Not now, guys..." Izzy and Kari ran up, panting.

" Two really bad Digimon, coming this way!" said Kari.

Katina looked at everyone, closely, they all seemed very worried, about Izzy and Kari... And even herself.

~I'm one of them....~ she thought.

" Sire, everything is ready..." said a short, flowery Digimon, in a husky voice.

" Then bring me my BRIDE..." MegaShadowmon demanded.

" Right away, Sire.." The Digimon bowed low, and went to find Katina.

It did not realise, of course, that Katina was already on her way to the hall.

" We HAVE to defeat him..." said Tai, trying to give everyone a 'before suicide mission' pep talk.

Or at least, that what the others had grown to call them.

" It's the only way out of the Digiworld." said Izzy, " So, in essance, he is right...."

Katina was walking briskly alongside them.

They were trying to not capture anyones attention, so they were all pretending to be prisoners of their Digimon, when ever they came across one of MegaShadowmons henchmen.

She watched as one of the henchmen stopped, looked at her, and then went on.

The music from the hall was begining to play.

It was supposed to be her signal, to go out and walk the asile.

" Guys, we need to MOVE... They'll realise I'm out now..."

They ran the rest of the way down the hall, and sure enough, about three or four seconds after they began to, there was yelling and shouting from the direction they had come from.

" Sire..." the Digimon returned to the great hall, where the ceremony was being held, " Sire," he repeated, shakily.

" Where is my lovely bride?" he demanded.

" Sire, she is no longer in her quarters.... "

"WHAT!!??" he roared, " WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE IS NO LONGER IN HER QUARTERS???!!!"

" Umm, sire... She has, that is.. uh.. welll..."

The evil Digimon leaned over and grasped the flowery Digimon by the hair on his head, " You had better not tell me she has escaped..." he growled.

" NO!! nononononooo.... sire..l... I'm just saying she is no longer in her quarters... Most likely, she is on her way down here at this moment.

" Not on my way..." Katina appeared in the doorway, " I'm here."

Every Digimon looked back at her.

And gasped, Where was her dress?

" My love.." MegaShadowmon dropped the squirming Digimon to the floor, " You are not prepared.... Why? I sent you the dress, did I not?" he asked, confused.

" I will not marry you." she said in a cold voice.

" What...?"

" She said She will not marry you..." said Wizardmon, stepping from the shadows.

" And what Katina says, goes." said Izzy, coming out beside her.

One by one, each of the Digidestined and their Digimon, came out from the shadows, and stood aside Katina.

The Digimon in the room, gasped again, and then dissapeared.

Then the whole room disapeared.

They were now in the feilds that were outside of the tower.

" I WILL NOT tolerate this, Katina, my love..." he said, suddenly growing.

" To bad." said Katina, bluntly.

The group stood around her, as though she were one of the most important people on the team.

She wasn't, and she knew it... But they still treated her that way.

" I gave you irratating children a chance to save yourselves, already..." He motioned to them, prepared to attack, " I WILL NOT be so kind again... SHADOW WAVE!!"

The attck hit all of them, throwing them back.

BIYOMON DIGIVOLVE TO.... BIRDRAMON!!!

AUGUMON DIGIVOLVE TO.... GREYMON!!!

GOMMAMON DIGIVOLVE TO.... IKKAKUMON!!!

PATAMON DIGIVOLVE TO.... ANGEMON!!!

PALMON DIGIVOLVE TO.... TOGEMON!!!

TENTOMON DIGIVOLVE TO... KABUTERIMON!!!

GABUMON DIGIVOLVE TO.... GARURUMON!!!

Each of the champoin digimon let loose their attacks... One after the other, they all took shots at the giant shadow Digimon.

None succeded, not even when Gatomon and Wizardmon both took combined shots at the creature, did they even make a mark.

" Katina, my love, You must come back with me... when are you going to realise that these CHILDREN are just using you and your friend, Wizardmon to fight.... You are so much better than they are.... don't you see?" he motioned to her, begining his little spell, " Look around you... Tell me what you see... please..."

Katina shook her head....

~Wizardmon, I know what I'm seeing is wrong... But it's so real... What can I do?~

Wizardmon watched as Katina backed away from her friends, her eyes burning with tears, that refused to shed themselves from her eyes.

~Katina... You know it's not right... So then, you must certainly realise that they are your friends and not your enemies...~

" Look around you Katina... They don't even realise just how special you are... The POWERS you... ONLY you possess. Can you not see that they only want you for that reason?"

" Katina, listen to him... he's not lying... trying to turn you from the people who really do not care about you..." Izzy stood up, he had been thrown against a tree, and thrown to the ground.

Katina heard his voice, and turned to him, " I don't know what to do..." she murmured, " He is telling me these things.. and here you are... AGREEING with him? How could you??"

Izzy was taken aback, " But I didn't say that..." he whispered.

" HOW COULD YOU?!!!" she charged at him, but was stopped by Wizardmon.

~Listen to me... What you hear, and what he says, are two compleatly diferent things... You are hearing the opposite of everything that he says.~

Katina froze.

~But how?~

"It's a spell." he muttered to her, out loud.

She looked over at him.

" A spell?" she asked, " It's all a spell? But how?"

~ Look at him, and then at Izzy.~

She did so.

There was MegaShadowmon, standing over her friends, What he was saying was unheard by her ears, but she was sure by the look on her friends faces, that it was not good.

~So what now?~ she asked, ~ I don't know what to do...~

~ What do you feel is the right thing to do?~

Kari looked up at the evil Digimon, " How can you do this to her?" she demanded.

" Yes, You say you love her, and yet you go through so many lenths to tourture her..." said Sora.

" Why Kat!?" demanded Izzy.

Noone noticed the teenaged girl behind the gargantuan Digimon.

Wizardmon had not even known what she was going to do, untill she did it.

Shouting out the words of her forefathers in Mexico, when they went into a battle, she lunged for his back, her dagger in hand.

He suddenly sreamed in terrorous pain.

" Attack him now!!" cried Katina, as he was grabbing for her.

LIGHTING PAW!!!

HAND OF FATE!!!

NOVA BLAST!!!

METEOR WING!!!

HOWLING BLASTER!!!

HARPOON TORPEDO!!!

ELECTROSHOCKER!!!

MAGICAL BEAM!!!

They all hit him at the same time that he got a hold of Katina.

Screaming out in his last words, he claimed that if he could not have Katina, noone could, and he drove her own dagger through her back.

As he dizzolved into information, she was thrown to the ground below, and upon hitting the ground, the dagger was driven in deeper.

She knew she was going to die, in that moment.

In that moment as the pain ripped through her fragile body, like electricity, she felt the tugging urges of the forever sleep.

She could feel the blood draining from her back and the daggers impression into her stomach. She could hear people crying her name.

Katina saw him stand over her, he knelt down next to her, and held her in his arms, uncaring that the cut on his arm, was bleeding into her, uncaring that her blood was all over him.

" You cannot leave me..." he whispered, " I need you... I... I love you..." he started to cry.

She shuddered, She was so cold.

" Hot... Hottakenia yo..."

Izzy was taken aback, Her voice, normally so soft, and gentle, and firm, was now harsh and forced, and weak.

Her face was becoming drawn, already from lack of blood.

"Shhh..." he comforted her, " Save it..."

" I love you too." she forces out.

" No, Kat, don't talk now... you have to save your strength for..."

She could no longer hear him.

Her heart was beating.

Her breaths were painfull, untill even the pain dissapeared.

She is aware of him kissing her.

Katina wished that she was in Tokyo with him at that very instant.

Her hand goes to his wet face, but she does not, can not, feel it.

She can no longer feel the cold ground beneath her, nor can she feel the tears falling on her face, from Izzys.

She does not know she is crying.

There are only three things left.

She saw his face.

She heard her breathing, and she heard her heartbeat.

Beat, breath, beat, breath, beat, breath, breath...

Breathe.. Breathe.. Breathe...

Beat.

And then.....

She sees herself crying...

Singing...

Laughing...

Screaming...

Praying...

It is raining.

" Ahh, yes, another beautiful day in Tokto." she murmers, and then it hits her, " Waitaminute... I'm... alive?"

" Where am I?" she asked him.

~IN TOKYO, OF COURSE, AS YOU SAID YOURSELF.~

" But I'm supposed to be..."

~DEAD? YES, I KNOW.~

" So how the hell am I here?"

~IT IS WHERE YOU WISHED YOU WERE AT THAT VERY MOMENT, WAS IT NOT?~

"... yes... but.. how did you know?" she asked, timidly.

~I FIND OUT THINGS VERY EASILY. THEY COME TO ME, YOU COULD SAY.~ The voice stops, ~BUT WE ARE NOT HERE TO DISCUSS MY MATTERS... WE ARE HERE TO DISCUSS YOURS....~

Katina stares into nothingness, where Tokyo has been at the last moment.

~NOW... lET ME TELL YOU, THIS WAS NO EASY TASK... ~

" What are you talking about?" asked Katina.

~BRINGING YOU HERE, OF COURSE. OU MUST UNDERSTAND, WHEN YOU GO BACK, YOU ARE TO MENTION NOTHING OF THIS TO ANYONE OTHER THAN YOUR DIGIMON PARTNER, AND THE BEARER OF THE CREST OF KNOWLEDGE... YOU MAY TELL THEM ALL THAT YOU WERE SIMPLY REFORMATED, AND THAT STUFF, BUT THE REST IS BETWEEN YOU AND I..~

Katina was now, THOUROUGHLY confused.

" So... What is this place? Limbo?"

~SOMETHING OF THAT SORT, YES.~

Katina nodded to nothing other than the voice, " Okay... So why am I here, and not in heavens waiting line?" she asked.

~WELL, BECAUSE, YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY DEAD... YOU HAVE SIMPLY BEEN ERASED.~

" What? What do you mean, erased?"

~WELL, THE DIGITAL WORLD IS MADE UP OF INFORMATION.. AND INFORMATION ONLY... SO WHEN YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS WERE TRANSPORTED HERE, YOU WERE ALSO TURNED INTO INFORMATION... WHEN MEGASHADOWMON TRIED TO KILL YOU, HE HAD NOT KNOWN THAT....~

Katina pout up one of her hands, " Wait a second, if I can be brought back... then can't...?"

~YES, HE CAN, BUT I AM THE ONLY ONE ABLE TO DO IT, AND I DON'T BRING BACK EVIL DIGIMON.~

" So why bring me back?" she asked.

~WHY NOT?~

" Are you...?"

~GOD? NO. YOU COULD PROBABLY CALL BE A COMPUTER EXPERT. BUT THE OTHER KIDS KNOW ME AS GENNAI.~

" Gennai?" she asked, " Then that would mean you're the same guy who saved my ass last time, huh?"

~YEAH... BUT YOU WERE NOT ERASED THAT TIME.~

" Apparently." muttered Katina.

The voice laughed.

~I MUST TELL YOU.... YOUR ADVENTURE HAS ONLY BEGUN... THOUGH I AM SENDING YOU AND THE OTHERS HOME, YOU WILL BE BACK... SO BE PREPARED... AND KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR SIGNS...~ the voice faded away.

She awoke, very suddenly, to find herself in Izzy arms, in the park, in the pouring rain.

Izzy was crying.

She reached up, turned his head to her.

" What the he... KAT!!! You're ALIVE?!!!??" he shouted, so that the others turned, and looked at them.

" My God, you ARE alive!!" he hugged her, " But how?"

Soon, Katina found herself surrounded by friends.

" KAT!!" yelled Gommamon in her ear. She winced.

" What?" she said in her normal voice, low and gentle.

" I like it so muchbetter when you're alive.." he snickered, " It's hard to play with..."

" THAT'S ENOUGH..." said Jyou, sternly.

" Can we get out of the rain?" asked Tai, " And then find out how you survived that?"

Soon, after KAtina had told everyone what had happened, and she, Izzy, Wizardmon, and Tentomon headed home, she and Izzy were in his room, talking, when she realised...

" My locket! I left it in the Digiworld.... oh no..." she looked down at the floor.

There was something danglingin front of her face not ten seconds after she said it.

It was polished, and on a new white cord.

" MY LOCKET!" she cried, in joy, turning around, to see Havamon.

She hugged him, " I had compleatly forgotten that I had given it to you to watch for me... but it's... different." she said.

" Well, I wasn't about to give it to you with that old rotting cord, and it needed a good cleaning." he said.

Katina could hear the humor in his voice.

She smiled, and looked over at Izzy.

It was certainly different, having friends, especialy ones you could count on.

Katina was blindfolded, as she walked forward into the kitchen of the Izumi residence.

" Come on, Izzy, Can I please take it off now?"

" Not yet... Are you always so impatient?"

" Yes."

She heard snickers. Multipule, as in more than one person.

" What's going on?" she asked, unsure of wether or not se actually wanted to know.

" Absolutly nothing." was the reply Izzy granted her.

She sighed, impatiently.

" Okay, you can look now."

The blindfold was taken from her face, as she saw her friends standing before her, around a table stacked well with gifts, and a big cake.

" Wow...." she was dumbstruck.

" HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"

" Huh?" she was in shock, " But... how...?" she looked at Izzy who was grinning from one ear to the other.

"IZZY???!!!!" she exclaimed.

"hehehe..." he rubbed the toe of his slipper into the floor.

She stared as the two youngest of the group ran up to her and gave her hugs.

" Whaddya wnna do first?" asked T.K.

" Yeah! Whaddaya wanna do?" asked Kari.

" I... have... I have no idea." she stuttered.

" CAKE!!" came the shout from Tai.

" TAI!!" shouted Sora, giving him a dirty look.

He blushed.

Katina grinned, " He's right, let's start with the cake..." she said, half laughing.

" YUM!!"

She laughed out loud.

" Right."

They all gathered around the chocolate cake that Mrs. Izumi had baked for her.

AFTER PORKING OUT.....

Katina looked around at the people surrounding her.

She had opened all of the presents, and liked all of them... even the soccer-ball that Tai had given her.

" So you can learn." he said.

Katina had blushed at the comment, how he had known she could not play soccer because she didn't know how, was beyond her.

She smiled, and laughed, as one by one, and in pairs, everyone left.

Untill it was just her and Izzy, as their Digimon had gone into the kitchen to get more cake.

She looked over at Izzy... She had noticed that he was the only one who had not given her a gift... But she didn't mind to much.

It wasn't as though she needed anything, anyhow.

Izzy got up, " I'll be right back." he said, " Wait here."

He went off to his room, leaving a very conused Katina behind.

She did not notice when he came back in the room behind her, a few moments later.

"Close your eyes." he said.

" Huh? Why?"

She sighed when she recieved no answer, and closed them.

" They're closed." she said.

He set something on her lap, and told her to open her eyes.

She did, and when she opened them, she saw a blue, open laptop on her lap, with a screensaver that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAT!

" No way..." she looked up into Izzy black eyes, " no way..." she repeated.

He nodded " You honestly did not believe that I forgot about you, did you?" he asked.

" Well, no... I... uh..." she shook her head.

She blushed.

" Thank you... but really, you didn't have to... I mean, wow.. a laptop... It must have cost yiou a fourtune..."

" Nah... I wanted to... " ~ And besides, ~he thought, ~ It didn't cast me anything...~

"So... you wanna go on a date some time?" he asked, blushing.

" Sure... Uh... where'd you have in mind?"

"KAT!!! TELL HIM O GIVE ME THE LAST PEICE!!!" yelled Havamon, chasing a flyinf Tentomon out of the Kitchen and into the living room.

" I GOT TO IT FIRST!!" cried Tentomon.

Katina stood up, Izzy next to her, they were both sweatdropped.

Tentomon flew behind Izzy, and Havamon tried to get to him.

" I have an idea." said Katina.

" WHAT!!??" asked the two digimon at the same time.

Katina snatched the cake away from Tentomon and took a big bite out of it, " How about neither one of you get it?" she asked, her mouth full of cake.

" HEY!!! GIVE THAT BACK!!" the two shouted at the same time.

She stuck out her tongue, " You want it back now?" she asked.

Izzy, Havamon and Tentomon all sweatdropped.

" Ghhhhh..."

The two digimon left the room again, and Katina laughed, " Now, where were we?"

" Where do you WANT to go?" he asked her.

" AGK!! HE GOT THE LAST BIT OF ICE CREAM TOO!!" yelled Havamon.

She sweatdropped, " How about somewhere where we can leave them home?" she asked.

Izzy nodded, " I don't think my mother is going to like that."
