Izzy is watching Katina cook a welcome home dinner for Kat.

"Katina?"

"Yes?"

" What are you making?"

" Dinner... DUH."

Izzy watches as Katina scurries around the kitchen, running from the sink, to the stove, to the cabnets.

Katina runs to the cutting board, and begins to cut veggies.

Suddenly, the room is filled with the sounds of Katina screaming.

" Aww, dammit!!! My FINGER!!!! AHHHH!!! I CUT OFF MY FINGER!!!!"

She begins to run around the room insanely, screaming.

Izzy grabs Katinas arm, and forces her to open it, so he can see what she did to it.

Katina looks down at the rem'nent of her finger, and passes out from the site os blood.

Izzy dials 911.

WHEN WE LEFT OFF, kATINA FOUNBD OUT THAT SHE HAD A DIGIMON... AND NOT JUST ANY DIGIMON...

WIZARDMON!!!

ANUWHO... KATINA,T.K. KARI, ANGEMON, ANGEWOMON, AND, YOU GUESSED IT, WIZARDMON, HAVE ALL HEADED OFF TO FIND THE EVIL QEUEEN BASIMON....

WE FIND OUR WEARY TRAVELERS COMING TO THE END OF THE TRAIL, THAT THEY HAVE FOLLOWED THE VOICES ON........

Katina felt her heart beat faster, and her breathing shallow as the little party came to a clearing.

In the middle of this clearing, they saw it...

" That must be where she lives." said T.K., oblivious to the fact that he had just stated the obvious.

Kari heard something... It sounded like singing.

" Angewomon... I heard.... singing..." said Kari, unsure if what she had just said was correct.

The rest of the group listened carefully, and sure enough, they too, could hear the singing.

" My life, they took, a word he broke, and soon the spell will be revoked... The little children, I entertain, shall not see the end of day!!" there was a maniacal laughter, as the singer, Queen Basimon slithered past them, unaware of the six hidden in the nearby trees and brush.

Katina watched her, for only a moment, and then turned to Wizardmon.

" I know this is the plain fact, but, I don't think she was talking about the voices we followed here." she was chewing again on the root he had given her earlier.

Angemon looked ahead of them, " True, and if what she was singing was anything to plan, we only have a few more hours to save the others." he looked down at T.K., and for just a moment, he was glad that the little boy was unable to see his eyes, or the worry that was in them.

Angewomon watched as Kari began to cry.

" Don't cry, Kari, we'll get to them in time..."

The little girl sniffed, and looked up at her Digimon, " I know... We have to... It's just... I'm so scared..."

Katina saw the Angel-like Digimon bend over and hug Kari, " There is no reason to be afraid, I won't let anything happen to you, or your friends... And remember, Augumon is with Tai, and he wont allow anything to happen, either."

Wizardmon saw something in Katinas' eyes.

Something he was not sure he had seen even when she was caught by her brother.

~Could it be fear I see? Or is it pain?~ he wondered.

FLASHBACK...

Katina was running, her sight was blurred, because of the fact that her glasses had fallen away from her face.

She could hear the footsteps following her own. But still she did not stop running.

It was important she got out, otherwise, the men would find her... and when they did, they would probably do to her, what they had done to Davis...

The returning thoughts of one of the boys in her class overwhelmed her, and yet, somehow, even through the thoughts of the boy who had been shot to death right in front of her, and her classmates, she managed to run.

As though the blood that had been shed... that was still on her, even as she ran, gave her the strength to go on.

She knew that the men following her, would not give up untill they found her.

Through painfilled, childs thoughts, she tried to think of a place to hide.

There was no-where... As the man caught up to her, she screamed, and suddenly....

PRESENT..............

" Katina...?"

She was no longer there. She was no longer in the hall of the school, but back in the Digital world.

Wizardmon had her arm, and was staring at her, with worried, green eyes.

He had seen it... he had seen what she had seen.

Then he did not know the whole thing, because she had not remembered the whole thing.

But he had seen enough.

~Please don't say anything.~ she thought, hoping this time he was listening, ~ They can't know about it... right no we have to go get the others, and then...~

~ I will not say anything, Kat... I give you my word.~ came the response, in her head.

" What's going on between you two?" asked Angewomon.

Katina started off immedietly, " I was just dizzy for a moment. Look, guys, as much as I hate to say this, we need to split up to find the others."

The other digimon looked at each other, and eyebrows were raised.

" Look, guys, we can't find them in time, if we can't cover enough ground TO find them." Katina pointed out.

" Besides, they might be split up themselves." Wizardmon stated.

The others nodded in agreement.

" And besides, didn't Izzy say that our Digivices would react to the others?" asked T.K.

His digimon partner nodded in agreement.

The six exchanged hopes of finding the others, and good lucks, and then, they split up.

T.K. and Angemon took to one side (By air), While Kari and Angewomon took to the other (The same way.).

When they were alone, Katina looked at her Digimon partner, and then straight ahead of themselves.

~Looks like we walk.~ she thought, forgetting about Wizardmon for a moment.

Leaning on his staff for a moment, Wizardmon watched Katina, as she searched the castle over, with her eyes.

" Do you see a way in?" he asked.

" I think so... but...."

" But what?" he asked.

" It's to high for us to get to..." she said, looking at the ground.

" Us?"

His face met hers, startling her.

It was upside down!!

She took a step back, and saw that he was flying, upside down!!

" How the hell did you do that?" she asked him.

Wizardmon smiled with his eyes again, " Well, I..." he stopped.

Katina stared at him, waiting for an answer, and then noticed that his eyes were no longer watching her, but something behind her.

She turned, to see the bushes behind her move.

They did not rustle, they did not shake...

They MOVED... as in they walked, to her.

She reflexifll tensed up.

Wizardmon saw this, and touched her arm.

" Stay behind me." he said.

Katina did not move, she was afraid, to afraid TO move.

Just as the heads of these 'bushes' popped up, and flashed their sharp teeth, Wizardmon shoved her behind him.

The one foremost to the two of them moved in for the kill, it's teeth gnashing, an the bushy branches reached out to grab either one of them.

Wizardmon quickly whacked it on the head with his staff, and it fell over, knocked out.

The others came at him, angrey that their 'leader' had been hurt.

Katina stayed behind him, like she had been told, but when she saw how many of these bushy digimon were headed at him, she prepared herself to fight.

~There is no way, I'm gonna let him take all of them on ALONE for me..~ she thought, reaching into her backpack, and pulling out her dagger.

" MAGICAL BEAM!!!" the attack only hit about half of the plant-thingys.

The others continued coming.

Katina noticed something from the corner of her eye... More of the digimon, headed at her!!

" Oh.. So you wanna play rough?" she muttered, as it came right at her, teeth and all.

It grabbed her with the tentacles, and held her roughly, drawing it closer to its' mouth.

But Katina did not panic.

She did not scream, she did not struggle.

But the moment that that mouth was within reach, she stabbed the evil digimon in the branch, and pryed it apart.

Heedless to say, it dropped her, screeching in pain.

Katina took this chance to attack it.

Shouting something in Spanish, she lept at it, and stabbed it in the 'trunk area' and twisted the dagger, creating a knot in the 'wood'.

It grabbed her, and she cut off the branch.

Unfourtunatly for her, the dagger stuck into the part she had cut off, leaving her somewhat defensless.

The creature came at her again, and she did the only thing she could think of.

Katina whipped off her backpack, and swung, hitting it right between the two black little eyes, and throwing it up against a tree.

It dissapated into nothingness.

" How's that for weedwhacking?" she muttered.

Suddenly she felt something grab her under the arms, and she felt herself go upward, and then downwards, and then, still halfway in the air, she saw what had her.

Yet ANOTHER bushy thing.

And this one did not seem to like the idea that she HAD whacked the other weed, (No pun intended) REALLY!! right between the eyes.

"MAGICAL BEAM!!!"

She fell to the ground with a thud.

" Now, not only does my head hurt, but so does my ass." she muttered, under her breath.

Wizardmon helped her to her feet.

The other digimon had run off, before they, too, were whacked...

Katina bent down and grabbed her dagger, slipping it back into her backpack, she looked at him.

" Thank you."

" Not a problem."

Wizardmon motioned to the castle before them, " We cannot just walk across there, we may get ambushed."

" So what do you suggest?"

A FEW MOMENTS, AND THIRY FEET HIGHER LATER...

" Right there." pointed Katina.

They landed in the open window she had pointed to.

The room they had landed in was pink.

And we are not just talking the walls. We are talking the bed, the curtains, the carpeting, the sheets, the blankets, EVERYTHING.

Pink, everywhere, in every shade imagionable.

And right in the middle of it all, wearing a puffy, frilly pink dress was the girl that Katina had been introuduced to as Mimi.

She was not in tourture, or pain... She wasn't planing an escape, or even trying.

As a matter of fact, she was standing there, with a digimon, that looked like a peacock with a fish head.

It was holding up a mirror, so she could see her reflection.

She was standing there primping as though she were headed for a great party.

" You look wonderfull, Madam, not a better shade to be found anywhere in the digiworld for such a beautiful creature as yourself... If I may say so..."

" You may, of course..." she said in a haughty voice, " But are you sure this color pink is right for me....?"

" Of course, Madam, it excentuates your stunning eyes... Your silky hair... the perfect complexion of your glowing skin..." The digimon was playing her vain streak a little to well.

" Well, you ARE right, I suppose."

Katina could only stare for that small length of time.

Mimi, feeling stares, turned. Only to see Katina, and Wizardmon.

" Oh HI KAT!!" she came at her with open arms.

Katina allowed the girl to hug her, only flinching slightly to the touch on her bruised back.

" Look at you... You're a mess, Gaeomon, bring my friend a fresh set of clothing AT ONCE!"

The funnly looking Digimon bowed lowly, and replied, " Yes, Madam."

It left the room.

Mimi held Katina out at arms length, " My, look at you... Why did you run off? Basimon has been ever so nice to us."

Katina just stared as Mimi went on and on, about all of this.

The digimon that Mimi had called Gaeomon, returned, holding a pink outfit in one hand, and a hairbrush in the other.

Holding the pink stuff out, Katina looked at it, and then to Mimi.

" Sorry, Mimi, I don't feel like changing right now, I need to find the others please.. tell me where they are?"

" Oh, sure.. but don't you think you need to get changed first? Oh well, Let's see, Tai and Jyou are in the room next door, and Izzy and Matt are in room next to that one.."

" Where is Sora?" asked Katina.

" She's..."

The door swung open and in walked Sora. She was wearing a soccer uniform, and knee pads.

" Right here, I'm right here..." she panted hapily.

" Ohhh, Sora, You're a mess..."

"Yeah, but hey! We won..."

" Oh good, I'm so glad..."

Katina just stared as the two talked like she wasn't even there, for a few moments.

Then, Sora turned to her, smiling, " Hey, Kat, you play soccer?"

Katina shook her head no, " I can't..." she began, and then thought better of it, " Find the time to learn."

Sora shrugged, " Oh, that's to bad.. Hey! I can teach you!"

Katina sweatdrooped, " No, tha's alright." she said, putting her hands up in front of herself.

She looked around the room, and then decided she had better haul, before they got suspicious.

Heading for the door, Sora grabbed her by the shoulder, " Hey, where're you goin?"

" To, uh, go see the others.." she said, hesitantly.

" Oh, Okay. Well, don't be late for dinner, okay?"

Katina looked at her strangely, " Uhhh..."

It was Wizardmon who saved her ass, " Okay, We'll be there."

" Oh, great, Queen Basimon says she has a great surprise for us. Don't be late..."

Katina grabbed Sora by the arm, and looked at her in the eyes, " Sora, you and Mimi get dressed and ready to go." she said, " We have to leave as soon as possible."

Sora looked at her questionably.

Mimi stared, " But why?" she whined.

" Just do it!" Katina stated, " And be ready for us when we come back."

Sora eyed her, and then nodded, " Alright, if you're sure."

" I'm sure."

She looked at Mimi.

Mimi nodded.

Katina and Wizardmon went to the next room, where they found Tai sitting in the middle of the floor, taking off his socks and shoes.

Jyou was laying in the bed bed reading a book.

Neither one of them seemed to take any notice of either her or Wizardmon.

" Guys, get dressed, and ready." said Katina, " we have work to do."

Tai looked at her, and then at Jyou. There was something in her voice that forced him to get up and do what he was told.

Jyou got up, and looked at Katina, then at Tai.

He followed Tais lead, and began to get dressed.

Katina nodded, and smiled, " Thank you guys."

The next room, was the one Katina had problems with.

She and Wizardmon were greeted with surprise as Angemon, T.K., Angewomon, Kari, Izzy, and Matt, were all at each others throats.

Angemon had Matt pinned down, and Angewomon, Izzy.

" You must listen to us... This false Queen, she is DANGEROUS!!!" cried Angemon, " We MUST get you out of here!"

" What is up with you? T.K. call him off!"

" No, big bro, he's telling the truth, we gotta get the others and get out of here." T.K. shook his head to his brothers request.

Meanwhile, Izzy was struggling under Angewomons grasp.

" This is unessacery, assure you, Queen Basimon has been very gracious to us." he said.

Angewomon shook her head, " Sorry, Izzy, but this is for your own good."

" Izzy we heard hersay she was going to kill you guys..." said Kari.

" I fail to believe..."

"EVERYONE SHUT UP!!"

The whole room went quiet, and everyone that could turned their heads to see Katina, and Wizardmon standing in the doorway.

" Get off of them." she said, " Please."

" But.." began T.K.

" Call them off, so they CAN get up and ready." she said.

" Katina, have the gotten to you too?" asked Kari.

Wizardmon shook his head no, " I would not allow it... and besides, it seems to be that everyone elses Digimon have been taken somewhere else."

Angemon looked at Katina, Katina looked back sternly, " I said please." she reenterated.

He got up.

So did Angewomon.

Matt and Izzy got to their feet, and watched Katina as she mad her way to them.

" Please, guys.... please, get ready got leave... What they have told you is true... Wizardmon and I have heard it ourselves."

Matt looked over at Izzy, and then to his little brother, and then to Katina.

" Get ready to go, NOW." she said. in a threatening voice, "Unless you wanna be chow for a Basilisk" she motioned to the door.

Matt looked back at his little brother, and then, sat down to put his shoes on.

Izzy looked at Katina, and then to Matt, and sat down to put his shoes on as well.

" What is all the talk about a dinner?" asked Wizardmon.

"Queen Basimon said she had a great surprise planed for us." said Matt, " But after hearing what you have just told us... I think I know why she said that it would be wonderful for us to stay for dinner."

Izzy and Katina were siiting next to Tai and Sora. And Matt was sitting next to his brother, Mimi, and Jyou.

Kari was with Angewomon, who was sitting with Angemon and Wizardmon.

They eight children and three digimon were all sitting in the room that Katina and Wizardmon had found Matt and Izzy fighting with Angemon and Angewomon.

Izzy looked over at Katina, who was, once again chewing on the root that her digipartner had given her.

He knew that she was in pain again. He could see it in her crystaline eyes.

The room fell silent as all of the children comptemplated what had happened when Katina had grabbed the two youngest and ran.

The closest thing they could think of was that they had been temperarily hypnotised.

The door opened, and in steped the same digimon who had been helping Mimi in her dress.

" Dinner is ready, and Queen Basimon is eager to see the new child who has come so unexpectedly." it said, motioning for the children to follow.

They followed.

Down a dark hall, past may rooms, and then, finally into a great banquet hall.

There was a long table set up, with many kinds of food, anything that could ever make your mouth water, and more. Everything imagionable.

There were eight chairs set up, four on either side of the table.

" I thought he said Child.." said Izzy, " There are plainly enough chairs for each of us, excluding the digimon..."

Jyou nodded.

In a flourish of floating, shimmering, white fabric, in came Queen Basimon.

Her black hair was up in a braid, and her already pale skin had been washed untill it seemed almost transparent.

She motioned to the table, " Please, you are my guests... sit..."

Katina hesitated, looking at the others.

The children all sat down, though not a one of them relaxed.

Wizardmon, Angemon, and Angewomon all stood behind their digidestined.

Suddenly there was a bright light, and the feast dissapeared from before them, and there was no longer a table in front of them.

Each of the digidestined were now strapped down to seperate tables, struggling to get out of their binds.

Instantly the three digimon were on gaurd.

The tapestry covered walls dissapeared, and there, shakled to the wall, were the other digimon.

Queen Basimon tore away her disguise, and standing over the Digidestined now, was a half woman, half serpent, who had featherlike patterns running down her arms.

" I shall be beautiful. And then Darkmon WILL love me..." she laughed, evily.

"HAND OF FATE!!"

"HYPTNOHORROR!!!"

Angemon just barely dodged the attack.

"CELESTIAL ARROW!!"

"HYPTNOHORROR!!"

The dark wave whizzed just past Angewomon.

"MAGICAL BEAM!!"

"HYPTNOHORROR!!"

The attack hit him, throwing Wizardmon into the closest wall.

He was pinned between Biyomon, and Palmon.

They cried out in fear.

" Wizardmon!!" cried Katina, "NO!!"

Wizardmon fell to the floor, weakened, but not enough to de-digivolve.

He staggered to his feet.

" Now, my little children... let's see.. who goes first..."

She snapped her 'fingers', " I know... I'll feast on the reliable one first..." she pointed to Jyou.

" Uhg... why me?" he muttered, not seemingly surprised by the evil Queens choice to eat him first.

" Oh, come now, It wont hurt...." she snickered, " Not ME anyway.."

"MAGICAL BEAM!!!"

The attcack hit her in the back, and she whipped around, furious.

"HAND OF FATE!!"

"CELESTIAL ARROW!!!"

The other two hit her as well, knocking her down, to the floor.

" Fine, then I shall eat the little children first... hope and light..."

" NO!! YOU LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!" cried Tai and Matt in unision.

She laughed again, as she got to her feet, and motioned to the three digimon that had attacked her.

They flew into the wall.

Wizardmon aimed his staff at the Queen...

"MAGICAL BEAM!!"

She dodged it, allowing it to hit the resrain on Katinas' table. Not that she noticed.

Queen Basimon was headed twards him in fury.

Katina got out of the rest of her restraintsm, and began to work on Jyous.

When she got him out, she told him to begin on the others.

Which he did at once.

" So.. you just don't give up do you?" asked Basimon, to the three digimon before her.

" We'll never give up." said Angemon, defiantly.

" Is that so? Well, then you can continue saying that as I eat you Digidestined partners.."

She turned to Kari.

" No!! Not Kari!! Leave her alone!!!" cried Tai from his restraints.

Katina watched, as the digimon headed for the little girl.

" HEY! YOU!!" she yelled.

Basimon turned to see who it was that was yelling at her.

And met face to face with the fist of a very pissed of teenaged girl.

She staggered backwards.

" How do you like that?" she demanded, lunging at the Digimon, without thinking.

She got a couple more hits in before the Digimon got the senses enough to figure out what was happeneing.

" How the hell did you get out you wench!!!" she demanded, dodging the next blow that Katina handed her.

Katina continued throwing blows at the Queen, untill she felt the snake-like coils wrapp around her neck.

She felt herself go up, like some sort of sick roller coaster, and back down again.

Her head made a sickening crack as it hit the stone floor.

She was brought back up again, fighting conciousness.

She felt herself being thrown across the room, but did not feel the wall was she impacted with it.

But still, through the mind numbing pain, she got up and lunged again at Queen Basimon.

"HYPTNOHORROR!!" she heard.

WHITE FLASH...

A little boys face...

" Why were you crying?"

WHITE FLASH...

Her mothers face...

" We're just going to get some groceries... We'll be back soon."

WHITE FLASH...

Her cousin standing above her with the knife...

" No matter what.... I'll always love you..."

WHITE FLASH...

Feelings....

Pain, hurt, saddness, loneliness, hate, fear, anger....

Happiness........ Love... Hope?

WHITE FLASH...

The rain. Cold, undaunting.

But she was warm....

" Hottokena yo... I cannot leave you alone... I will not leave you alone."

Hot tears running down her cheeks.

WHITE FLASH...

There was a loud sound. It sounded like someone had run a drill through her head.

Katina opened her eyes.

She was no longer in the dreamworld, but back in the castle with her friends.

~Friends?~ she asked herself.

" Noooooooo!!!!" it faded into nothingness as the other digimon had.

" What happened?" she asked, rolling over.

Something warm trickled out of her ear.

Reaching up to it, and bringing her hand back down, she found it was blood.

Wizardmon and Izzy were standing over her.

" Are you okay?"

" I'm gonna be fine, I think."

" Look.." Izzy dangled something in front of her face.

It was a shiny pendant, with a little window.

She did not stay concious long enough to see what was in the window. She slipped out of conciousness.

When she awoke the second time, she was in a brightly lit room.

Rolling her head to one side, she could see that where ever she was, It was one of two things. It either had a really BIG fishtank.

Or she was underwater.

" Where am I?"

Izzy awoke from his half slumber, and jumped to his feet.

" You're awake!!"

" Yes... but... please don't yell." she said in a hushed tone..

" Do you remember anything?" he asked.

" I remember..." she remembered everything... not just Queen Basimon, but the other memories as well, " I remember punching that bitch as hard as I could, and knocking her on her ass."

Izzy stared at her, shocked at her use of words.

Then he started to crack up.

" How long have I been out?"

Izzy sobered up, " Almost a week. You really had us going for a while there... Havamon was ready to go and take on Darkmon on his own."

" I was out for that long?" she shuddered.. and then realised how worried that her friends must have been.

Izzy nodded.

" Katina.... I need to tell you something..."

" Go ahead, Izzy..."

" I... I just... Well, it's like this..."

Havamon came into the room, and seeing Katina awake and talking, he jumped up on the bed, and hugged her.

Izzy sighed.

He figuered he'd never get to tell her.

T.K. came into the room, wondering what all the commotion was about.

Upon seeing Katina, he shouted, " HEY!!! EVERYONE!! KATINA'S AWAKE!!!!"

Katina grasped her aching head.

"... please don't yell....." she muttered.

LATER...

" So this is my tag and crest?" Katina fingered the little brass device.

" Yes... The crest of pure heart." said Gennai.

Katina stared at the little symbol inside the window.

It was white, engraved with blue with the shape of a heart with a little tear drop shape inside.

" Now, you children must continue on with your journey... You must defeat Darkmon, before it's too late."

The children all nodded on agreement.

And soon they were all off on their way again.

While walking, Sora found that, everything seemed back to normal.

Mimi and Jyou were complaining.

Matt and Tai were fighting.

T.K. and Kari were trying to break them up.

Izzy was working away on his computer.

The only thing that was different, now, was that there was a new kid, and a new digimon.

She listened to Izzys typing.

It was usually a stacato, never missing a beat.

Today, it was slower, and broken.

Twice already, she had caught him looking back at Katina.

~Could it be that Izzy....? Nah... no way... She just isn't... But if not, then why is he looking at her again?~ Sora shook her head.

Izzy looked at Katina. She seemed to be absorbed in her thoughts, but when she looked up, and they met eyes, he immedietly looked downwards, and blushed.

~ I have to tell her...~ he thought, ~ But how am I supposed to tell her if everyone keeps interupting? uhg...~ he hung his head, ~ I guess it's best to be told another day.~

ALRIGHT, LADIES AND GERMS... I FIXED, OR TREID TO FIX THE TEXTBLOCKS. WHAT DO YOU THINK? ALRIGHT, LOOK, I EVEN EXCEPT FLAMES.... I LOVE TO THROW THEM ON MY GAS STOVE, GOOD FOR COOKING DINNER... HEHEHE....

ANYHOW.. BACK TO THE LIVES OF THE MUSES.....

Izzy and Katina are in the hospital room, next to Kats.

" I'm sorry about all those bad things I said earlier." says Izzy.

" Yeah, I'm sorry too." says Katina.

" Really?"

" No... I just thought I'd say it for no reason." she snickers.

Izzy hits her on the head with his laptop, putting her out.

hehehe.......

" Thankfully, Katina does not own us..." he says to the moniter, " She DOES NOT OWN DIGIMON... So that means I do not have to marry her.. YAY!!!"

hehehe.........

" But she IS kind of attractive..." he mutters.
