Hello, again, people, amd here's the next instalment of Izzys First Crush... As you can already

tell, Katina IS a digidestined... Rotten fruit does not work on the computer, so there... *snickers*

Alright, just so that you know, I am always open to suggestions, but the way I depict the

characters WILL NOT CHANGE!!! So Tara34, stop e-mailing me... hint hint...

Katina and Izzy walk to the hospital... Izzy is carrying flowers, and Katina has a get well card for

the author.

" You did not have to incapacatate her..." says Izzy.

" Shut up, Izzy."

" You shut up."

" No, you..."

" You..."

They get to the hospital, and are still arguing when they reach Kats room.

" You, twiddlebrain..."

" Beanhead..."

" Xyliod..."

" Idioso."

" Huh?! what the heck is an Idioso?!"

Katina laughs as they enter the authoresses room.

" Kat, what's an idioso?" asks Izzy.

" It's spanish for idiot, Izzy."

" I'm not an IDIOT!!"

" Are to..."

Kat rubbs her forehead. " Damn muses.." she mutters.

Izzy gets in front of Katina, and proudly presents the flowers to her, " These are for you..."

" Well, thank you, Izzy... They're lovely..." she sneezes.

" I brought you a card, and I wrote a poem."

" Awww, how sweet."

Katina clears her throat.

" I have seen many things, in my short muses life, I have seen day, and I have seen night, I like to

wath Digimon run and play, and I could stare at Izzys face all day, I wish that I could find a lovemon,

but to shame, 'cause guess what... I don't own Digimon."

She bowed. " Thank you."

There was scilence.

Izzy and Kat have sweatdropped.

" What do you think?" she asked.

" Uhhh... It was great..."

" Yeah, really.. uhm.. prodigus!"

Katina breaks down into tears, " Waaaaaahhhhh!!! You don't like it!!!!"

Katina, Havamon, Kari, Gatomon, T.K. and Patamon, all rushed back to where they had been.

Basimon was no longer there, and neither were their friends.

Katinas' lungs felt as though she were going to burst.

The pain shot through her body like an arrow, but she did not flinch.

The three humans and three Digimon rested for a moment.

Patamon watched Havamon as he circled the area, and then turned to Katina.

" Here, " he said, holding out a little plant in his paw, " Chew on this... It'll make the pain go

away."

Katina looked a his emerald eyes, they were full of worry.

She took the plant, and looked at it, " What is it?" she asked.

" It's painkiller." said Patamon, " It's called Danaroot."

Katin tore off a little bit of the root, and chewed on it.

Almost instantly, the pain began to fade.

" Wow... Hey, that works good." she said.

Havamon nodded, " Yes... It has a good quality to it."

Katina put the rest into her backpack, for later, she said.

The six of them headed out.

But they did not have to go far before they ran across trouble.

Basimon was leaving minions behind her, to cover her tracks.

There were six shadowmon.

" LIGHTNING PAW!!!" cried Gatomon, lunging at the closest one, that was headed for she and Kari.

It easily dodged the attck, and continued to Kari.

" BOOM BUBBLE PAH!!!" was Patamons cry as he tried to protect T.K. The attack missed its target.

A shadowmon headed for Katina, " MYSTIC THUNDER!!!" cried Havamon, channeling an attack of

light to the dark digimon.

It, to, missed it's target,

" Gatomon! Digivolve!!"

" You to, Patamon!"

Gatomon digivolve to... Angewomon!

Patamon digivolve to... Angemon!!

In a bright flash of light, the two angel digimon were standing in front of T.K. and Kari.

" MYSTIC THUNDER!!" came Havamons attack, again, directed at the shadowmon coming at him

and Katina.

" CELESTAIL ARROW!!!" The arrow missed its mark.

" HAND OF FATE!!!!" the attack missed its' mark, as well.

"AGHHHH!!!!" Katina screamed in pain as one of the Shadowmon grabbed her up by her long hair,

and lifted her up about twenty feet from the ground.

" Katina!!!"

" PUT ME DOWN YOU....!!!"

The shadowmon shook, as though it were laughing, but no sound came.

Angemon and Angewomon had their hands full with four Dark Digimon attacking them.

They did not see or hear Katinas' cry, but Havamon did.

Havamon digivolve to... Wizardmon!

The light, though, did catch their attention momentarily, though.

Long enough for it to registar just who Havamon was, and then, it was back to the fighting.

" MAGICAL BEAM!!!"

The concentrated beam of energy hit the Digimon right through the middle, dissapating into nothing.

Wizardmon caught Katina before she hit the ground.

He set her down, and then looked over at the two Angels, " Aim for the heart of them!!" he cried.

" CELESTIAL ARROW!!!"

" HAND OF FATE!!"

Two more Shadowmon dissaptated into nothingness.

The three left ran away before the same fate befell them.

The three digivolved Digimon did not de-digivolve, for fear that they would be attacked a second

time.

" Wizardmon!" said Angewomon, surprised, " But I thought you were..."

" Deleted? No... I was put into the recycling bin... Gennai took me out, and told me that I was

responsible for the well being of Kat here." he motioned to the still shaking Katina.

Angemon smiled, but it turned to a frown after a moment.

" We should be moving.. They have probably gone to get help... and you can bet that they'll not

just be Shadowmon..."

Wizardmon nodded, in agreement.

" You're probably right... They will return, and with help."

Kari stood next to Angewoman, and looked up at her.

" Don't worry, Kari, I'll protect you."

Angemon saw the estranged look from Katina, " Does something bother you?" he asked.

" ...no.... I just have not seen... angels for many years..." the two digimon looked at her in

surprise.

" What do you mean?" they asked, in unision.

Katina shook her head, she would not answer this question.

Soon, they were all on their way off again.

As nightime began to fall again in the Digiworld, Katina began to wonder how long it would take her

to saw off her feet with one of the dull rock along the pathway.

" To long, and I wouldn't allow you to hurt yourself, anyway." said Wizardmon, readin her

thoughts.

" How...?"

" I read your mind."

" Oh...."

Angemon was carring T.K., who was dosing, and Angewomon was carrying Kari.

Katina continued to walk.

Her feet were hurting, and she was sure that plant was starting to wear off, but stil, she trudged

on, not saying a word about her aching feet, or her tired lungs.

Or the cold that was begining to set into her knees. The numbing pain that began to set in there

ment it was going to rain, this she knew well, after many years of experiance.

~Dammit, It's gonna rain... I know it... unless the Digiworld is different from ours...~ The

darkening clouds overhead that blocked out the stars, and the moon, told her all she needed to know

about that, and as the rain began to sprinkle down.

Angemon, and Angewomon sheilded Kari and T.K. with their wings, not caring that they themselves

were getting wet.

Katina trudged on.

~ I just HAD to be right, didn't I? WHAT?!! Did the rain from our world just kinda find its' way

to me, and follow me here? I love rainy days, but they kill my knees, and GAWD! This is just

ridiculus...~ Katina tried to ignore the rain that had found its' way behind her glasses.

She coughed, and shivered a little, and still she trudged on.

" Are you alright?"

" I'm fine... Just tinking about home..."

Wizardmon muttered something under his breath, and an umbrella apeared in his hand.

Katina was so absorbed in her thoughts that it took her a few moments after he had begun to hold

it over her to realise that she was not getting wet.

" ...Huh?"she looked over at the Digimon who was smiling with his eyes, as she could not see his

mouth, " Thank you..."

He smiled more.

" There's a cave ahead..." said Angemon, " We can stop for rest there."

The hurried a little bit faster, and made it to the cave before the real downpour began.

Angemon and Angewomon shook their wings, to get the water off, while Wizardmon rang out his

cloak.

T.K., and Kari, were asleep in no time at all, while the others stayed p to decide who would take

first watch.

" I'll go first." said Angewomon.

Angemon argued this point instantly, saying that she needed her rest.

Between the two, there was quite a commotion goin on.

" I'll go first." said Katina, firmly, " You two both need your rest... You've been carrying children,

while I have not... Go get some rest... If I hear or see anything odd, I'll holler."

The two opened their mouths to say something, but Katina looked at them over her glasses, " I

don't take NO for an answer."

They went to the back of the cave.

Angemon laid next to T.K., his wings over the small boy to keep him warm.

Angewomon laid next to Kari in the same fashon.

Soon the two were asleep.

Wizardmon sat down next to Katina.

" Go back inside... I'll holler..."

" Yes, perhaps you will, but you have yet to understand... I am supposed to protect you. That

means if you have watch, then so do I." He watched her eyes soften. It was something he had only

seen once scince he had become her Digimon, and the other time was when she had been playing her

pipe, the other night.

" You really take your job well, considering..." she said, looking up at the clouded night sky.

" Considering what?" he asked.

Katina sighed and shook her head... " I... nevermind..."

" Is something bothering you?"

Katina shook her head no, even though something was.

FLASHBACK......

" I'm gonna be the best, and everyone will love my paintings..."

Izzy watched her as she showed him her picture.

" When you're famouse, we'll still be friends? Right?" he asked.

" Of course, silly... and then when you have your computer company, You'll still be my friend,

right?"

" Yes."

" Then we have nothing to worry about."

There was the sound of a door opening, " Katina! What are you doing?"

It was a woman in her late twenties.

" I'm tellin' Izzy about when I grow up... I'm gonna be a famouse painter, and then I'm gonna

sing... and be famouse!!"

" You'll never be famouse..."

Katina steped back, " Yes I will."

" The people in those buisnesses don't like girls without beauty."

Her heart broke.

THE PRESENT....

Wizardmon saw these things, but said nothing to Katina.

She shivered.

He saw this as well.

" Are you cold?"

" I'm alright... but... thank you for asking.." she sneezed, "... excuse me..."

" Bless you."

Katina leaned back on her backpack, which she was thankful was waterproof.

She sighed, deeply, and then mentally slapped herself, ~Now is not the time to be sleeping, Kat

girl, wake up, and keep watch.~

Wizardmon saw her eyes pop open as the mental hit woke her up, somewhat.

He knew she was tired, her body was not used to going under the types of stress he sensed had

come from her surrounding in the past few days.

She needed sleep.

" You can rest, and I'll take over."

Katina shook her head, " No... I still have an hour left."

" I'm right here anyway, and you need some sleep."

Katina looked at him wearily.

" I wont take NO for an answer." he quoted her from earlier that same night.

Katina grinned.

Alright. The Digimon had won out.

She leaned on her backpack, and allowed herself to slip into subconiousness.

She shivered in her sleep, and Wizardmon removed his cloak and placed it over her,to keep her

warm.

Running... she was running...

Where she was running to, she had no idea, but she was... and she continued running into the

night, the black velvet enveloping her, and the icy cold peircing through her very flesh itself.

She ran into something, or rather some one.

" Hello, Kat... What are you doing?" he asked.

She backed away, " No..."

" Don't run... I won't hurt you..." the figure laughed, " I'd never hurt you... much anyway."

Fingers ran thrugh her hair, and she jerked away.

" Leave me ALONE I never did anything to you."

" But, Kat, don't you LOVE me?"

Katina began to sob, " You are not who I thought you were..."

" Katina... Katina.... Kaaaaatttttitiiiiiiinnnnnnaaaaaaaa..." her name.. It was everywhere, the sound

of echoes would not let lose from her mind.

"... leave me alone.... " she whimpered, " DO YOU HEAR ME??!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!" she

screamed.

Laughter.

An evil laughter was all that met her ears.

" Never alone... "

She was struggleing in her sleep, making him instantly wonder if perhaps she was having a seizure at

first, and then the nightmare gripping him like the dark fog that had rolled in hours before, they had

gone on watch.

That laughter....

He reached over, and touched her forhead. Warm, but then again, humans had a different

tempurature than the majourity of Digimon, So he assumed she was alright.

" Sleep well, Kat.." he mumbled, from behind his mask.

Almost instantly the struggling stopped, as he knew it would.

The next morning, the little band saw it had stopped raining, but the sky overhead was charcoal, in

overcast. It was threatining to rain on them, as though daring them to have a single hope that it

wouldn't do as the day before had.

Katina coughed, her throat was becoming sore.

They began again.

The day wore on, and tere seemed to be no hope of ever finding them, untill...

" What do you think she'll do if they don;t find them?" asked one voice.

" Eat them, I imagine... why? You looking for a promotion?"

" Nah... I was just wondering if you had ever seen her do it. Eat someone I mean..."

" Nah, but I heard that Toadmon did.. She ate his cousins legs right there in front of him... Poor

guy...nearly went crazy."

" Queen Basimon would do it too." said the other voice, " And she'll eat us, if we don't get this

back to her castle right away."

The six looked at each other, and then, mutually agrred that the best thing to do, would be to follow the two voices, to Queen Basimon...

Izzy and Katina are seen walking back home together.

" It really is a shame that Kat had to take her medicine so early..."

" I suppose so."

" Hey, you don't think she payed that nurse to cut in on our time and say that do you?

Looks over at Izzy.

They both stare for a moment, comptemplating the idea...

"NAH!!!"

ELSEWHERE...

Some odd nurse with red frizzy hair is sitting in the rec room, counting money.

Her friend comes in to join her.

" Hey, where'd you get that?"

" Oh... you know the woman in room 4863? She was so scared of those two SWEET little kids that came in this afternoon, that she said she'd pay me 2,000$ plus but me a free lunch when she got out."

" Oooohhhh, I gotta try that...."
