| This is your home and will not flee You will defend againt zombie So you charge with your blade For breaking in they shall be paid The first one you stab in the neck Then decide oh what the heck And hack away until it's dead Completely severing the head The other zombie wasn't near So you had time not to fear But it is closer now As you wipe dry your brow Then you swing but do miss The zombie evades and does hiss And lunges forward to grab you But you succeed to evade, too And then you stab it in the head And continue 'til it's dead So you claimed back your house A lion emerges from the mouse Secure it once again you do This time with much credit due The zombies you dump outside In your house hole up to hide You board the windows with some wood Firm and safe as it could You'll be damned if they get in One war that they will not win The day passes right on by Comforted you will not die There are no zombies near in sight Free you are from current plight You watch the news as news arrives The number rises of lost lives They do not know how it began And try to help as all they can But the horde has grown too fast And hope now does not last It's now spread beyond the state Can't control something so great 3 days do pass without trial Your family you try to dial Yet do not answer the line You take that as ill-favored sign And fear the worse for them befell You curse the zombies all to Hell So closes another night And you sleep as well you might Your night is wrecked for you awake The splintered sound as wood does break Upright you bolt in your bed And expect to see the living dead But they are not in your room Yet close must be this new doom You peek out into the hall And see no zombie at all But their moans you do hear And their stench of reek you fear Before you think they spring forth You grip your sword for all it's worth But in this narrow hall One by one easily do fall Afterward you search around Looking for until you found Where it was that they broke in Against precautions did they win Even though you did bet The cellar you did forget Through the basement had they went And into your house were sent More you fear lurk below In the basement, will you go? |
