The Last will and testament of John Buterbaugh of the Township Green in the County of Indiana. I John Buterbaugh Considering the Uncertainty of this mortal Life and being of Sound mind and memory Do make and publish this my Last will and testament in manner and form following that is to Say first I give to H L Buterbaugh twenty eight acres and Eighty three perches of Land of my old farm Lying on the North Side of the Creek ajoining Lands of Andrew Cook and Joseph Nichel on the North for the some of Seven hundred and ninetyeight Dollars and fifty cents. I give to my son A N Buterbaugh Seven eight acres and fifty two perches of the Same old farm his is bounded by Land of Wm I Lydick and others on the west and Wm McGrure on the South for the Some of twenty three hundred and two Dollars and fifty cents. Simon Buterbaugh Andrew Buterbaugh the Boys four in number the four Boy and four Girls Eight the four Boy four Girls the Eight are all to have Equally, to be Divided between them Eight I N Buterbaugh he is to have one Dollar perovided I N Buterbaugh pay the money back that I Borowed from R Smith the are all to have Equally only I N Buterbaugh he is only have one Dollar Dont put any Cost on any of them that their Land is to pay for at my Decease I N Buterbaugh he is not to have any of my Estate at my Decease with out he pays the money that I borowed and build him for I N Buterbaugh he is to have only one Dollar. I bequeath to Aquill Cook, one hundred and Twenty Dollers after the Decease. C E Gorman I have to pay C E Gorman the Interest of one hundred and fifteen Dollars which is Six Dollars ninety Cents that is not to be paid till her Decese. In witnefs whereof I have thereunto Set my hand and Seal in witnefs whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the twentieth fourth Day of march one thousand Eight hundred and Ninety.

Andrew Buterbaugh

I Do hereby appoint my Sons A N Buterbaugh Sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament hereby revoking all former will by me made.

N.B. The Part that Andrew is to get I give to his wife Hannah all But one Dollar that he gets.

Be it Remembered that on this 9th day of March A.D. 1896 before me James N. Stewart Register for the Probate of Wills etc in and forsaid County was proved and approved the foregoing Instrument of writing as and for the Last Will and Testament of John Buterbaugh late of Green Twp Dec'd - Who died on the 13th day of February 1896 at 12:30 o'clock PM by the oaths of Henry Wise and David Wise the subscribing witnesses thereto. Same day Letters Testamentary issued to A. N. Buterbaugh and Andrew Buterbaugh the executors in said Will named they having been first duly sworn according to law.

WE, W. J. Lydick and John Hyock do swear by Almighty God, the searcher of all hearts, that we will well and trult and without prejudice or partiality, value and appraise the Goods, Chattels, and Credits of John Buterbaugh late of Green Twp. Indiana County, deceased, and in all respects perform our duty as appraisers, to the best of our skill and judgment, and that as we shall answer to God at the Great Day.
