FORMYDUVAL was born about 1820 in North Carolina.37 He served in the military on 4 Nov 1863 in Crystal
River, Florida.38 Enlisted
in 2nd Florida Battalion, Co. D, CSA
Was exchanged to Co. K, 9th Florida Infantry on 10 Mar. 1864 for L. Prevatt.
He had his arm blown off while serving in the CSA. Apparently during one of
the battles between Cold Harbor and Reams' Station (Petersburg siege, June 1864-April
1865, Weldon Railroad, June 23, 1864, Reams' Station, June 30, 1864. He was hospitalized
since mid 1864 and was AWOL since 6 Sep. 1864, It appears that after being injured
he just went home and stayed. He died on 10 Mar 1879 in Brooksville, Florida.39 Name was Formy-Duval. Apparently
used initial "F" when shortening name to Duval.
