Outer planets

The term 'Outer Planet' refers to a planet that is further away from the sun than the astroid belt. Outer planets are generally huge, far bigger than the inner planets. They are also colder, because they are obviously further away from the sun, and they are generally composed of gas. Some of the outer planets were not discovered until the past 150 years, unlike the inner planets, some of which were discovered over 300 years ago.
