Motion is how an object travels. All objects must abide by three rules, created by Sir Issac Newton. These are called the RULES OF MOTION, and are very useful in calculating speeds etc. Speed is generally the most popular thought-of concept when dealing with motion, but it is not the only subject that motion covers. Motion is a very complicated idea. Take an example, when a car is going forward, it doesnt just go forward and thats it, there is also a backwards and downwards force acting on it. The main forces are GRAVITY, that pulls things down to Earth, UPTHRUST, that pushes up objects in water etc. THRUST, which is the actual movement of the object, and DRAG, which is the pull opposite to the movement of the object. Forces ALWAYS pull or push an object. When dealing with motion, we use the following formula: SPEED = DISTANCE / TIME This formula, with the correct measurements, can help us calculate the
