Horoscope This is a time when you emotionally identify with your possessions or whatever you value. This can lead to a very strong attachment to material objects and a general attitude of possessiveness about them, which can be a problem if someone needs to borrow something of yours, for instance. Or you may unconsciously identify with your own value system to such an extent that you feel every challenge to it as a direct challenge to yourself. You may have to defend yourself in areas where you really have nothing at stake. Traditionally this influence is considered to be a bad time to spend money, because your attitudes toward possessions are so conditioned by unconscious drives that you are not likely to make an intelligent decision about buying something based upon your real needs. AUGUST 30, 2003: WEIRD SHIT AND MERCY
Some weird shit is going on with my computer. Seriously, if I had of opened a strange email, which I dont recall receiving, I would think that I had a virus or something. For starters when I turned it on the other night it came up with a whole list of things that it had to go through but I dont recall correctly what they were and it hasnt happened since.
Before whilst I was in the midst of a 5,000,000 point game (where my previous high was 2,300,000) and my computer restarted itself. I have no idea why and I am going to keep a close eye on it just in case it gets sick. Poor computer.
I ought to put my song list onto a CD just in case because I have a million and two Modest Mouse songs on there.
Currently I am cooking dinner- roast chicken and mushrooms. I peeled some garlic and threw it in the tray in the hope that it will infuse with the cooking. I smell pleasantly like garlic. I love the smell of garlic. Mind you, I cant stand it on someone's breath because then it becomes rancid. But right now, I smell great.
Now onto the movie. I just watched a film called Mercy. Well, why did I choose this? Because it had the used to be delectable Julian Sands in it. I am a huge fan of the original Warlock, though I cant rightly remember the successors. This film however, is an artistic porn. That is they are passing off fetish material in the mainstream film industry by putting in big names and a story line.
I cant recall how many bondage films that I have seen in my lifetime, though this one is a little more perverted and graphic. For instance, there is a scene of an assassination. What the fuck is that? Someone getting off on killing someone else? I admit, I do believe that there are people out there like that after reading Poppy Z. Brite.
The story revolves around a cops search for a sadistic serial killer and her own demons. There are several suspects- Vicky, the bi-sexual with a fetish for bondage and pain, the psychologist and his patient. If you take the time to think about it you can rule out one or two of them.
In general, there is nothing particularly interesting or original about it, but then again it could just be my tastes getting in the way, to clichd.
There is a lot of nudity and woman on woman action. Cheers.
Oh, I had a dream.
I watched one of the worst movies in history yesterday, all because it was on television and there was nothing else that I wanted to watch. Why I continued to watch it is a complete mystery, but I did nonetheless.
It was called Here on Earth starring big names such as Josh Hartnett and Chris Klein. As someone once pointed out the film starts conventionally enough, with an emotionally lacking rich boy taking his insecurities out on the poor country yokels.
There is an obvious attraction between the rich kid (Klein) and the local hard working beauty, despite the fact that she has a boyfriend (Hartnett).
What ensues is an accident ending in the destruction of the girls family restaurant which in turn leads to Klein and Hartnett having to work together to rebuild the structure. Klein and Sobieski fall desperately in love, and leave Hartnett out in the cold.
Now, I have to have someone explain to me, are we meant to be happy for them? Are we meant to be happy that within two days of meeting him she is falling in love and has absolutely no hesitation in cheating on her long term boyfriend who is desperately in love with her, and with whom she seems to be in love with? Can someone explain to me why I am meant to be happy that they end up together when they obviously had no consideration for other peoples feelings and she selfishly broke poor Hartnetts heart?
It tries its hardest to be deep and sentimental, but I think that it is completely lost on me. The only thing that it has going for it is the beautiful scenery, even though the town looks like a set rather than a town. If it is real, then I am sorry to the residents, it looks too fake, yet pretty.
It was one damn bad film. As for the walking in the rain thing, doesnt that reek a little of incestuous behaviour? Please, explain this film to me so I can understand.
