Horoscope
Valid during several days: This influence indicates the beginning of a new cycle of growth and progress. However, it is often the focus of exaggerated expectations. You may expect sudden windfalls, great wealth or luck, and all kinds of wonderful opportunities. And these things do happen sometimes with this influence, but most people should expect more subtle, but equally useful effects. Events now, such as meetings with persons or even changes in your psyche, open the way for you to become wiser and more mature and to have a broader understanding of the world. At this time you will reach out consciously and unconsciously and ask more of the world, but at the same time you are willing to give more to the world. This influence can make you feel either more demanding or more giving toward others, but you are not likely to get much out of it if you think only of what you can get. The law of conservation of energy in the universe says that you can transform the energies in your life from one form to another, but you cannot create them out of nothing. This influence represents a time when you should see whether you are doing that in your life. Concretely, you can expect persons who are good for you to come into your life. Or circumstances will arise that give you increased freedom or an opportunity to do something that you have never done before. Educational opportunities may come to you at this time, or a chance to travel. Sometimes this influence does in fact bring about financial advantage, but you should not sit around passively waiting for it to happen. (Astro.com)

AUGUST 29, 2003: DIET BROO-HAA-HAA 2
When I lived in Szekszrd I lost a lot of weight without any attempt on my part. There are several things that I could attribute it too. The first could be the food, which for the first few weeks gave me gastro. Or it could be that by the end I was rarely eating a big meal. In fact because I was skipping school I was skipping the lunches also.
But that didnt mean that I wasnt eating, in fact I was eating a hell of a lot of food. For breakfast I generally had a kifli (bread) and a glass of milk. I think that it was the perfect breakfast. Lunch would consist of more bread, or a hot dog from in town, or maybe a hamburger or who knows what else. They made the best corn salad at a hot dog stand in town, and I ate a double serve.
I could drink anyone under the table and at a lot of big chunks of authentic Hungarian salami, and I miss it like crazy. I also at a lot of Nutella and drank litres of cola a day.
It was only on weekends when I sat for lunch with the host family that I ate a proper healthy meal. It was usually a three-course thing, with soup, mashed potatoes made with eggs and sour cream, a meaty dish with the grease apparent.
Yet I lost weight. I attribute it to the fact that the main meal was in the middle of the day, which I think is a brilliant idea because you wear the meal off rather than going to bed with it in your belly.
Unfortuatly it doesnt fit into the Australian routine. But there could be one other thing to attribute it to:

See the arrow (when you click on it) that is my house. What you see it less than half the city. The town centre that I walked to daily was on the other half of the map. To be able to see the house that well (despite it being a poor quality picture) the house had to be up one damn big slope- which it was. In fact, I think I was the only idiot to walk it. During winter the buses (which I dont remember ever seeing) could not go up it. I could slide down it in winter.
I loved it.
I miss that town. I loved that country. And I havent written to anyone in years. Cheers.
