Geek was formed in 2002, when WMAC school mates Andre Flegg and Steve Graham invited Brock Donovan to jam and see what happens. Pleasantly surprised by the funky sounds which entailed, the band was formed with a mission to make unique funky music with a groove so heavy you just have to get down.
Adding Andre�s eclectic electric guitar wailings to the bombastic low rumblings of Steve�s bass, while being driven forward by Brock�s mochesmo proved quite an interesting blend. Geek was at this stage, an instrumental trio and quite content that way.
As time passed, the need for extra colour, flavour and noise became evident and thus the search for an extra member began. The multi-skilled Dean, with rock deeply imbedded in his nature, brought his keyboard, guitar and vocal skills to Geek�s table of musical love, and the ensuing polyphonic orgies have proved quite pleasurable.
With all Geek�s now out of school, the quartet seek to record a demo soon, and begin a mission to spread the funk and love to the masses. With so much love to be shared, help out by coming to the next Geek gig near you and don�t forget to bring your funk.
