GRAMERCY
Gramercy is located upriver from Reserve in St. James Parish. Ruth was born, to Alvin Lambert and Emily Oubre, and lived there until her marriage. The town of Gramercy lies on the east bank of the Mississippi River at about 30 miles from New Orleans. It was primarily a sugar town, Colonial Sugars, and employed almost all of the people residing there . Alvin Lambert was born and raised in a small community called College Point .
