HER CHILDHOOD
Ain't she cute? Her hair wasn't tied up back then and she wears a cute Kimono, doesn't she? We don't know much about her when she was at that age, but we do know that she lost her mother and her father was left to raise her up.
Having no other child (or son for that matter), her father had to teach her the Kamiya Kasshin Ryu to keep it alive. Kaoru learned it of course! (^_^ ne, Kaoru?)
As a child, she was always known as a girl with a "boy's courage". She's have enough guts to face anything as a child. That's why she's still living until the end.
I don't know much about her childhood, all I do know is she rocks!!
HER TEENAGE LIFE
What can I say that I haven't said? She's got guts man! She's a girl you can't mess with. She was saved by Kenshin on the first episode. Though you may see her as kinda like a "tomboy", but you have to see past that to see who Kamiya Kaoru really is.
She's Yahiko's teacher, of course. Although they may get into a lot of fights or teasing, it's obvious that they care more for each other than they care for themselves. Yahiko would do anything for Kaoru as Kaoru would do anything for him.
Her girly attitude collides with her "warrior" attitude which makes her simply ONE BAD COOK! But everyone could of course overlook that. All in all, Kaoru's one tough lady.
HER LOVE
Anybody who doesn't know this guy is DEFINITELY not an RK fan! He's no one else but the Hitokiri Battousai himself. despite of his past, Kaoru overlooks all of it and loves him deeply.
Kaoru fights side by side with him and supports him with everything he decides (although she disagrees when it gets to dangerous). Like everyone, Kaoru doesn't fear for herself but for her love. Even with the age gap (uhm..about 10 years?!) it still doesn't stop her from marrying him. Through thick or thin, she stands by Himura Kenshin.
Later in life, after years of marriage, Kenshin gets TB. She gets in contact with him to "share his pain". Kenshin went to fight in the Sino-Japanese War and Kaoru patiently waits for him to come home and believes deeply that he will even if the chances are quite odd.
HER SON
Yes, she gets a son. (I told you there were spoilers!! ^_^) His name is non other than Himura Kenji. She loves him so much and awaits patiently for his return when he ran of to learn his father's fighting style.
Although his son loves her, he left her. (?!?!?!), harsh but true. Kenji is Kaoru's only son. What more can I say, she loves the kid! (Doesn't he look like his father a lot?! Except for the eyes though, they belong to Kaoru. ^_^)
Just a note from me:
Personally, I adore Kaoru's courage and patience. Ouch, her family made her wait long years, right? And she still waited for them. Glad Yahiko's around to keep her a bit of company. I see the real Kaoru as I watched the 2nd OVA. I saw the girl in her which made me appreciate her more. She's a girl who kicks butt!! But she's also a woman who loves her son and husband. Love and patience, we all see it in her!!
