ALTER-EGO
Hi, my name is Greg Belfrage.
I'm a native of Sioux Falls, SD and grew up watching
Captain 11 nearly every afternoon during much of the late
60's and early 70's.  My younger sister, Kim, and I
celebrated several of our birthdays on the Captain 11 show.

Those wonderful experiences on the set were partially responsible for my decision to become a broadcaster.
I host a morning talk show on KELO-AM
and also serve as the station's Program Director.

Special thanks to my friend, Dave Dedrick,
for his invaluable help in developing this website.
He has shared many personal momentos, photos,
and memories with me.  It has been a labor of love.
Thanks, also, to Paul Farmer at KELOLAND TV
for allowing access to their Captain 11 archives.

Captain 11 is a significant chapter in our local broadcast
history.  The show could not be replicated today due to
an explosion of media choices and busier lifestyles.
Captain 11 existed at a very special moment in time...
and its end closed the "Golden Age" of local television.

Please share your Captain 11 memories by signing my
Guestbook.  I also welcome your comments and
questions about this site.  Just click the EMAIL link above.
