I am Gayle Simpson and I am currently a student at University of Maine at Augusta. I will be graduating this August with a Bachelor's in Library Science. One of the classes I am taking is Web Design and I am learning how to create a web page. I have never done a web page before so it is very new and a little confusing to me. Hopefully it will make more sense as I continue to develop my webpage.
Regarding my webpage, I chose cats because I like cats and I grew up with cats. I have dealt with various breeds and cat illnesses over the years. I have dealt mostly with Cornish Rex cats so I know a lot about them. The Sphynx is still a new breed to me and I am still learning a lot more with her. I thought it would be interesting to post some of the lesser known breeds and let people discover these cats that they may never heard or seen before. I hope people will learn a little bit about the listed breeds.
A little bit about me. When I am not working on homework I manage a small library for Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana. It is small, I have 13 stacks and eight computers that students can use to do their homework and tests. I have helped develop this library over the past ten years and it has come along way from 10 orange crates holding all the books that I had ten years ago, to a well developed collection that students and faculty can use. I think it will always be a work in progress, but that is one of the challenges of being a librarian.
Besides work and college, I do enjoy reading, bowling and going to the movies. I am a bit geeky in which I enjoy fantasy and scifi novels such as Harry Potter and scifi tv shows such as Stargate and I also play Dungeons and Dragons.
