PRICELINE
TIPS

What is Priceline?
Priceline is the world’s first Name Your Own Price‘ Internet travel service where travellers can name the price they’re willing to pay. Customers can trade their travel flexibility for significant savings on their travel purchases, and airlines and hotels can privately sell excess or perishable inventories without affecting their retail pricing structures.

Priceline.com.sg in Singapore enables travellers to name their own price – and thereby name their own savings – for return air tickets from Singapore and for hotel rooms all around the world. We then go to work with our partner airlines and hotels to find a supplier willing to accept those prices. Priceline acts as a matchmaker between traveller and supplier.

How does it work?
Thousands of airline seats and hotel rooms go unsold every day. These items are perishable. Via the Internet, Priceline invites travellers to name their own price for these products, empowering them to spend exactly what they want. At the same time, Priceline creates incremental revenue for airline and hotel partners, allowing them to sell products that would otherwise go to waste.

Because supplier inventories change constantly, travellers must guarantee their offer with a credit card. Credit card information can be provided over the Internet or phoned in directly to Priceline’s Customer Service Department
(1800-883-0808).
If an offer is unsuccessful, there is no charge.

Be flexible with your travel details. For airline tickets, you can choose multiple arrival and departure dates, several arrival airports and a variety of flight connections. These variations mean Priceline can widen its search for the savings you want.

Be clever about your travel days. Priceline sells only vacant airline seats and hotel rooms. More seats and rooms are available on days when people generally travel less. Monday through to Thursday are less busy, with Tuesday and Wednesday the best days. Opt to take an off-peak flight if you need to travel on Friday or over the weekend.

Be astute about your travel needs. Check any visa requirements before you submit your offer. Priceline travel dates cannot be changed or cancelled after your offer has been accepted.

Be smart with savings. Shop around for fares for your specific itinerary. The Internet is the most convenient tool. Then, when you’re ready to Name Your Own Price‘, go to www.priceline.com.sg and name a price 20%-30% below average market rates.

Not just Singapore. You can book a hotel through Priceline from any Southeast Asian location. And you always choose your hotel star rating with Priceline, meaning you always get the quality of accomodation you want.

Weekend Getaways. A very affordable through Priceline, but beware of the timing. If you want to leave on Friday and return on Sunday, you may well leave at 11pm Friday and return 6am Sunday. not so good!

Tell me if this Priceline thingy really works. Thanks a lot!
