This is
my personal home page. Hmmm, like it? Basically, this homepage
contains only one thing - ME. Well, my gay life in particular.
And the events, groups, and people that revolve around my
so-called gay life. Still there? Well, I won't bore you.
I have an interesting gay life. I won't go into details
about the people I dated, nor would I paste pictures of
them here. They deserve more than that. They deserve monuments.
He, he, he.... Anyway, this home page would definitely be
interesting if one is into the life of a gay Asian, particularly
a gay Filipino.
Yes, a gay Filipino.
I am from the Philippines. I was born in Metro Manila. I
grew up there as well. Manila is definitely a fun place
to grow up in. There are a lot of gay sites - bars, organizations,
support-groups, etc. - one simply just has to know where
to go. Well, this home page of mine provides such information...
some
information, that is.
Metro Manila is a city that is very much alive. What gay
bar you would have seen a year ago would probably be a vacant
lot by now. They easily come and go. This is the reason
why most gay people here visit gay bars on their opening
nights.
I did quite a bit of
travelling in asia before I came to New York, I can give
you some tips for making online bookings and travel agents,
but be very careful of what you are asking and what you
are looking for.
Here are some tips for you:
Discount/Membership Cards:
- There are probably hundreds of travel discount cards available
all over the world, but one of the only ones that has pulled
its weight for me has been the ISIC (International Student
Identity Card). It's recognised worldwide and has saved
me a lot of money. There are two others available (the ITIC
for teachers and IYIC for youths).
See the STA Travel
website for details on how to apply.
You can also get online bookings from priceline.com,
also check out the asia
pacific websites however, you have to bid for your tickets-fun
huh? This is the kinda of opportunities you wanna learn
from me :)
Oooh-la-la, such fabulous events!!! Sigh!! What would the
world be without us travelling...? Right now, I'm very active
in the gay travel movement both in Manila and in New York.
What can I say --- from Stonewall Inn to Coco Banana, Gay
Men's Health Crisis to The Library Foundation, Inc., Gay,
Lesbian, and Straight Education Network to University of
the Philippines - Babaylan --- there are some parallelisms
between these two cities. I'm now New York based, but that
doesn't stop me from being active in the gay movement in
Manila.
