Introduction

Thanks for paying my Website a visit. My name is Gavin Wood and by profession I am a freelance software consultant specialising in the development of embedded real time system software solutions.

After taking my A-levels I undertook a thick sandwich (1-3-1) course with British Aerospace (London,England) and graduated from Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh,Scotland) with a first class honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

After graduation I continued working for British Aerospace at their Guided Weapons Missile Division. Designing hardware and software modules for a variety of missile autopilot and seeker systems.

The 'Reagen Star Wars Era' took me to the USA. I accepted an offer from Northrop Corporation (Boston, Mass). Designing hardware and software modules for inertial guidance platforms for aircraft & missile systems.

Following my return to Europe I have provided consultancy services to major IT companies in the field of embedded real time systems. Specialising in object oriented analysis & design, design patterns, C++ & Java languages. Providing services in the field of requirements analysis, detailed design, implementation, integration and test.

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland I provide on site development services to clients based in the UK, Germany and Austria.
