Multiple account types

SwiftBanker has provisions to maintain three account types : savings, current and fixed accounts. It handles these accounts differently, and the user of the software can set the rules (interest rates, period of compounding interest) according to which the accounts would be handled.

The account handling module of the software has the following functionalities:

a) Provision to make new accounts : A unique account number is created for each newly created account using an algorithm. Then smallest unused integer is taken as the new account number. User information is then fed into the system through a from. The required fields are : First and last name, address, city, postal code, phone number, email address and account type.

b) Removing accounts : The customers can choose to terminate their accounts. In such a senario the remaining balance in the account is made available to the customer, the account entry deleted, and all transactions of that account removed from the transactions database.

c) Account Information : Information of a particular account can be retrieved and displayed for convenient viewing. User can also choose to view all accounts, and browse through the records.

d) Updating accounts : In case of changes in the account profile ( change in address, phone, email address etc), the customers can request changes in their account profiles to be made through an update form.
