Before I list out my achievements I would like to convey that for me an achievement is not merely the attainment of milestones which others percieve as an "Achievement". Infact it is the fulfillment of goals & ideas which one sets out for himself (no matter how trivial ), that will ultimately lead to satisfaction from within.
Here are some of my major achievements (in reverse chronological order):
- Academic Excellence Award, 2001-2002: Recieved this award for outstanding performance in the first year at IIT Kanpur
- Student Guide: I was selected as a Student Guide for the year
2001-2002, by the Counselling Service at IIT Kanpur
- IIT JEE-2000: I got an All India Rank of 277 out of about
1,28,000 applicants, which got me admission into the prestigious Electrical Engineering
Department of IIT Kanpur.
- Indian National Chemistry Olympiad: I was selected among 31
students from all over India after a two stage written plus lab exam. I had the opporunity of receiving my training at the esteemed Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education(TIFR), Bombay
- NSEP: I was among the top 1% of the students appearing for the NSEP-2000 conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers
- Regional Mathematics Olympiad: I got a rank of 20 in the Delhi
region of the Mathematics Olypiad conducted by the National Board for Higher Mathematics
- NTS scholarship: I am the recepient of the prestigious National
Talent Scholarship,1998 conducted by the NCERT. The selection procedure consists of two
rigorous exminations and an interview.
- AISSCE-1998 Merit Certificate Awarded the Certificate of Merit for being in the top 1% of the All India batch in Maths & Science
- Gold Medal: I received a gold medal in my school(DPS, NOIDA) for
academic excellence for six consecutive years
- Bronze medal: I received a bronze medal at the Inter-school
Manav Sthali Competition and our school won the overall trophy the same year
- Columban Open Quiz: I represented my school and we reached the
Semi finals of this revered General Quiz Competition.
- Aryabhatta Maths Competition: This is one of the most
prestigious Maths Competitions in India and I represented my school and got a Certificate of Merit for good performance
- University of New South Wales Scholaship: I got distinction in
both Maths and Science in this International competition.
- On the Spot Painting Competition: I was awarded the Certificate
of Merit in this competition oranised by the Prem Kirpal Foundation
- HCL-DPS Quiz Summit: I was awarded a certificate of Merit by
Hindustan Computes Limited (HCL) in this General Awareness Quiz Summit.
Apart from these I have won several Inter House Competitions at School(I represented my
house, Ganges). They include English Debates, General Quizzes, Science Quizzes,
Math Aptitude Tests etc etc etc
