Hey there!!! What brings you here......??? Anyways whether it is plain curiosity or something else, I'll start without much ado....

Ever since the day I was born, the world has never been the same again.....The date, I clearly remember was 29th Sep, 1982..... when I became the youngest member of our small and happy family. I am the one & only son of my doting parents, and have a very loving and caring elder sister, who is working in the US.

Having been born in New Delhi, and currently a resident of NOIDA( a satellite town of Delhi), you can call me a Delhiite, but basically we are Punjabis.... After a few years in New Delhi, we moved to Kanpur (in the Army Cantt area), where I started my schooling.... followed by a one year stay in Jallandhar City,Punjab. Finally we moved to NOIDA in 1988, where we have been staying since then...

I took admission in Delhi Public School, NOIDA (DPS), which is the best school in NOIDA, and also a stone's throw away from my place. Undoubtedly the school was a great place to be in and I loved going to school, mainly becoz of the environment and the fun it offered. However there are a few things that I disliked about my school- The Monday Tests( Believe me! they were a real unavoidable pain, right from class II to XII). Secondly the long assemblies on Tuesdays and Fridays esp when we had "the pleasure of having a most distinguished, accomplished and esteemed personality" as our chief guest( Ya sure!!! most certainly...our pleasure) In school I indulge myself in all sorts of things which made me almost a jack of all trades..... I learnt swimming at school for 4-5 years and was part of the advance batch of swimmers... The extra practice they offered to the advance batch was my alibi for staying away from the long assemblies in the hot summer sun....... I have also taken a few lessons in horse riding (but I need to brush up on that) .... Gymnastics at school also caught my attention till it was scrapped from the curriculum( for reasons unknown to me)....... Apart from these roller skating, table tennis, volleyball and basketball interested me at some point or the other while in school.........

On the acads front, Mathematics was one subject that I always loved, while I despised all others..... However in around class VI, I developed an interst in Science esp. Biology( Yes! that's right)... By then I had almost decided to become a doctorb by profession.... However that interest lost out to my fascination towards Engineering...... ( a major motivating factor was my sis, who also happens to be an engineer)....... By the end of class X , it was decided that I would become an engineer..... the next obvious step was preparation for IITJEE...... After two years of preparation, with the help and support of "VidyaMandir Classes"(my JEE coaching institute in New Delhi), I finally secured a good rank and landed up in IIT Kanpur..... That's where I currently am, having a nice time...

I must say that ever since I came to IIT Kanpur, I have undergone a lot of changes, mostly in my attitude towards life which has become more positive and more open.... This place has taught me to deal with all kinds of unexpected situations... and most importantly given me lessons on living on the edge...

Apart from Science and Engineering, Management is one field that I like very much, and I certainly plan to do something about it....

Well, before I end I must say that there have been a lot of people who have influenced my thoughts and ideas, who have inspired me and been my source of motivation throughout my life... In this regard my family, my friends (at home, at school and at college) deserve a special mention... Thank you all for being there...
