Welcome to Gator Goil's niche in cyberspace. What a strange place for a 'gator to occupy,
:o). Oh well, a black hole is a black hole I suppose.
I'm new to Geocities and Web building, so maybe some of you pros who visit me will kindly
offer a few tips.
For starters, I wasn't born in the Everglades; however, my former domain is every bit as
murky. Of course many people think that 'gators mainly thrive in Florida, but alas,
they're equally content living in the bayous of south Louisiana. Oh, and let's not forget
Okefenokee -- I have relatives there as well. Several years ago I exchanged the swamps for
the clay hills of Mississippi. How nice not having to don hip boots every time I
exit the house. The trade-off has its drawbacks of course . . . to say the food is
bland would be an understatement.
Now, on the serious side . . .
I am married to a wonderful gentleman who retired last summer from a major
telecommunications firm. We have two children: a son, 24; a daughter, 20. Our
son graduated from USM and married shortly thereafter. He and his wife are the proud
parents of Ashleigh, who was born last September. Our daughter, a junior at MSU,
will major in secondary education. Yeah, just what America needs . . . another gov't
controlled "facilitator" to further dumb-down the kids. But then, I'm c.
1941, so what would I know.
At one time I had oodles of hobbies, but since discovering the PC practically all have
fallen by the wayside. My major interests were sewing, ceramics, and gardening.
I keep telling myself that I had better get back to my hoe and shovel if I expect
to shed some of the cellulite that's accumulated as a result of sitting behind this
keyboard for untold hours. Yep! I'm addicted. Gee, and I'm told that
java and smoking is bad for my health. Wanna bet?
I'll set this aside and perhaps will find something else to yak about later.
Thanks for dropping in -- you're
always welcome. The cafe au lait and beignets are on me, but you'll have to bring
your own bedroll. ;o)
