Does Cubbies cost money? Yes, there is a small fee required. The cost is about an average of $1.00 a week. This can be paid up at the time of registration or in four payments. The dues is necessary to offset the cost of crafts, snacks, and awards. The uniform and books costs are in addition to the dues. We often will have used uniforms available for a lesser price. Our goal is to minister to the children and their families. Any families in difficult financial situations can receive "scholarships." Please speak with the club Commander regarding this.

What is a typical Cubbie class like? Our classes last two hours. We check in the Cubbies the first fifteen minutes then we have our story time with Cubbie Bear and his friends (puppets) and sing songs. The next hour is spent divided into four groups in which the children rotate to different areas (craft, handbook, snack, and games). Then we meet back in a large group before going home to reinforce what is learned that day. At this time Cubbies are also recognized for their achievements

Do you really think my preschooler can memorize verses? Absolutely! I have been working in Cubbies for eight years. And they can do it! They are allowed two helps per verse. Each Cubbie will start with a booklet given to him/her at the time of registration. The parent will work on one Bear Hug each week. The Bear Hug consists of a story, an activity, and a verse to learn and memorize. Then at Cubbies we will be reinforcing what the Cubbies learned at home with activities and even snack!
