GASPO and other Astro-clubs of Nepal...
With
the increasing interest of astronomy among the Nepali people, the number
of astro-clubs and their members are rapidly increasing. However due to
lack of resources such as non-availability of telescopes there have been
no big improvements in the field of astronomy here in Nepal.
Even
after 400 years of invention of telescopes, Nepalese people have not
been able to use them because they are not available in Nepal. And that
the government of Nepal has imposed 101% tariff for importing
telescopes! |

To pursue their interests and to make the government feel the need of Astronomical studies, some astronomical societies have been established in Nepal. Some of them are:
