Sick of being raped at the pump?

Its common knowledge
that oil companies and retailers RAISE gas prices at the pumps just before the
weekend, especially a LONG weekend. The reason?
Everyone knows payday is Thursday or Friday, so that’s when we fill up. We also
need to fill up just before the long weekend.
Oil companies take
advantage of this by raising fuel prices when we hit the pumps. Why don’t they
just keep the prices high? So they can claim their “average” weekly price is a
fair amount. Fair by who? Its maddening to know that
an OIL PRODUCING country (
What are we going to do about it? We need your
help, if we collectively boycott one oil company for a month, they will take
notice.
90% of the gasoline purchased at the pumps is
sold by four oil companies. If enough people boycott one company, they will be
FORCED to lower their prices in order to sell fuel, the gas station across the
street will notice the lower price and respond accordingly. It is a very
aggressive and volatile market and the oil companies hire consultants to keep a
close eye on the competition.
What can YOU do? By joining The Canadian
Peoples Gas Coalition, you are making us one member stronger. 100 people
aren’t going to have any pull, 1000 wont either, we need thousands of people to
join us in this fight to make gas prices FAIR to Canadians. They will just keep
raising the price until we can’t take it anymore. We say that time is NOW!
We need you to be an active member, keep returning to our web page, and notify us of any
change of email address so we can let you know when the time is right to start
a boycott! Members will be notified by email a week in advance. You will be
instructed to mark the date on your calendar and you will be provided with a
reminder you are to print out and tape to your cars interior, in plain view.
Also beside your fuel filler just to be sure.
