“ I think it's ridiculous that Gas Companies raise their rates on the premise that it's simple supply and demand... it's a necessity for most people to put fuel in their vehicles... to get to work, to transport their children, to run emergency vehicles and school busses... even city busses that are supposed to provide economic alternative transportation for the masses are targeted. Never mind that the city buss system is only as effective and efficient as any city will allow it to be and for rural travel it's non existent.... what do "they" expect us to do? Ok, boycott a company for a month... the other companies will then benefit and raise their prices, ask the Government for help... Ok but they aren't likely to want to give up their cut... it is the small companies, the privately owned non affiliated businesses that we should be supporting. The Mom's and Pop's of the fuel station business that deserve our dollars. My suggestion: deal with only small independent and local gas stations, we don't want to hurt the local business owners that are also being innocently dragged through this mess. I think we should all avoid the big Shell, Esso and other such companies that have no regard for the hardships of the working class. I think a boycott is a start but there is so much more to it then simply not filling at a particular companies pump... it's time for us to remember our neighbors and our neighborhood business people and support them while shunning the big corporations who don't care about anything other then their bottom line at the end of the day!“

“I just filled up, it cost me $74. I don’t pay that much for shoes.”
