Welcome to my ancient Near East site. There is a political history of Mesopotamia, which covers the time from creation to the Persian conquest. The history lists all of the kings to rule in Mesopotamia as well as text entries about them and their cities or empires. There are also maps showing the extent of the empires.

The mytholgy section currently has some essays comparing Genesis with the Mesopotamian myths, as well as lists of the Mesopotamian gods. More essays will follow.
