I hope you've enjoyed the story that led you here. In writing this story, the most challenging task was to crave out different stories for the same beginning. Due to time constraint and other factors, I couldn't have as many paths as I would like to add. I really hope I can develop the story further in the future because I feel that there're still so many unexplored dimensions like how did CARDINAL come about? How did Marcus Tan actually died? What if Jason gets away with his crime? Personally, this story isn't completed. There're still so many possible different endings, so many stories within the story left unattended to. All these different dimensions and different scenarios can only be explored in a hypertext environment and I think that's the area where writing in hypertext environment can beat traditional writing. The author will have the liberty to add new path to the story at his own discretion and the reader will experience another story under the same title. Perhaps, when it is completed, Spies in the Forking Path will be the one story that changes every time you read it.
