The Minister of Defence had signed the go-ahead for Operation SPIDER. Team Delta of the SOF was already informed to standby for yet another covert operation in foreign grounds. Now, the only task remained was to locate Jason.

"Yes, can you pinpoint the location?" DSI Sim said into the SAT-II secure phone. He was on the line with his department. "Yes, call CRISP for visual and feed ‘em directly to the Board’s computer."

The Board had been buzzing with activities. The Minister was conferencing with the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister informing them of Operation SPIDER. The CDF and DJI were drawing out plans for the insertion of Team Delta. DSI Sim was trying to locate Jason using whatever asset he had. The first good news of the day came when DSI Sim announced that SID had successfully located Jason’s car in JB. All official cars provided by the State had a GPS beacon installed in them. Although Jason was driving his personal car, he didn’t know that all employees of SID and JID had their cars, official or otherwise, tagged. The SID found the car near the heart of Johor and was requesting for visual from the Centre for Remote Imaging, Sensing and processing. The controller at CRISP had sent a command from its base in NUS to one of its Ofeq satellites orbiting 600km above the ground to bypass Johor Bahru once more. The image was downloaded real time to the Board and enlarged by the projector.

"According to the GPS signal, he is around this area and could be staying in one of these hotels, this confident bastard still doesn’t know he’s been hunted," DSI Sim said as he used a laser pointer to circle part of the satellite photo. "Therefore, we can be quite certain that the woods in question must be here, this forest near Kampung Maru. I’ve asked some assets around that area to look for him in these hotels. If we’re lucky, we can apprehend him on the spot."
