Mars is the fourth closest planet to the sun and is often referred to as the red planet. There are a number of signs that give evidence of there being water on mars at one point, but upto now none has been found. Mars is also presumed to be the most likely planet to have life on it as its atmosphere is the most like earths and the possible existance of water could mean it possible for life to survive.
