the movie starts out pretty good with a conversation by two hotties when the subject of the video comes up. one of the girls starts talking about how if you watch it you die seven days later. the other girl tells her that she had watched it and shortly dies afterward. so when the girls aunt who is a detective finds out she decides to look a little further into the mystery of the tape
One of my favorite horror films of all time is the original japanese film "Ringu" so when i heard they were making an american remake ofcourse i had many doubts. did i have reason? yes and no. although the remake isn't nearly as good as the original, it still managed to scare the hell out of me. as far as being a good remake it succeeds but it is very hard to even compare to the greatness of the original
gore: not much gore but the bodies are really gross looking.
nudity: none
action: it has a pretty good pace about it.
scary: the bodies as i said are terrifying and then there is the part at the end where the girl climbs out of the tv(shivers)
wierd: the wierdest part to me was the face on all the bodies. it was really disturbing. they had this unhuman terrified look on there faces and there face looked all bruised.
story: the story is very captivating and you wont want to get up
ovewrall i thought that it was a very good new horror movie and a good remake. i deffinitly suggest it if you want to be scared
