| The day that we left the cave the sun came out. Due to the storm the trail in many places had turned into a series of small lakes and mud bogs. |

| This is the beach between the Carmanah and Walbran. It felt really good to finally be hiking in the sun. |

| This cave was pretty big. It was neat to explore. You must use extreme caution if you enter ANY cave along the trail other then the one we camped in. Pay very close attention to the tide tables. |

| This is one of the many surge Channels to be found along the beach route. Be VERY careful crossing them. We were on the trail for 7 days and heard of two people who had fallen into one. It's lucky for them there were other well prepared hikers near by to resque them. |
